What I meant was (and remember that I have never put an eye in GDM code) that if we can use he old configuration tool graphics as a base for building the ew configuration tool, it would help users in understanding how to work with the config tool. [Bug 418503] Re: Regression: gnome-volume-control segfaulting on startup in Karmic
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. [Bug 418528] [NEW] Library mess up the display
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox Hello, I've just installed Ubuntu 9.04 32 bits on my desktop yesterday. So I was transfering my files from my HDD, and then came my music folder. I copied/pasted it to /home/xavier/Musique. In addition, I've deleted all .jpg and .ini file created by Windows. Just kept the .mp3 files. And... there's a bug. I told RhythmBox in the Options, that my library folder is /home/xavier/Musique. In the input field, it's written: file:///home/xavier/Musique And then RhythmBox build the library, I can see my music, ok. BUT, the Duration is UNKNOWN. Almost all my files got an UNKNOWN duration. I've tried to cut/paste my music folder into another folder, like the Videos one. I launched with RhythmBox a single music (NOT set the library on Videos), I could see the duration. I've tried to launch the music file (.mp3 remember) with The Video Player (the default one), I could see the duration. So that must be a bug linked to library function. Thank you. [Bug 399031] Re: some applets are not draggble with mouse middle click
I can also confirm this and as I posted in [1] I think adding a ! around line 2216 in panel-widget.c seems to fix the issue. event_time = event-time; -if (event-send_event) +if (!event-send_event) event_time = GDK_CURRENT_TIME; [1] http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114160 ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #114160 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114160 -- some applets are not draggble with mouse middle click https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/399031 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 418416] Re: evolution crashed with SIGSEGV in check_header()
Thank you for opening this bug and helping make Ubuntu better. It seems, from the stacktrace, that the fault is related to the libmalaga/voikko language tools. Perhaps you can try momentarily disabling (or uninstalling) libmalaga and/or *voikko*, and see if this will allow you to use Evolution. Meanwhile, I am checking upstream for a similar issue. Setting public -- no private data in stacktraces. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) -- evolution crashed with SIGSEGV in check_header() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/418416 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

This is still happening in karmic with libgtk 2.17.7-0ubuntu3 and file- roller 2.27.91-0ubuntu1.
