[Bug 426099] [NEW] Disc doesn't eject after burning; starts checksum again
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero This was for "Burn Image to Disc" option w/ "eject disc after burning" checked. Disc does get successfully burned, however instead of ejecting and prompting for another task it appears to start re-calculating the checksum (and "time left" grows). Clicking "Cancel" stops the bogus checksum process and displays "Successful burn" (or something like that). Also (unrelated issue), the cover editor mucks up "scaled" background images (basically doesn't scale them when printed). A minor thing but kind of annoying. Hope this helps... [Bug 425852] Re: gnome-screenshot prompt no longer appears while app is in fullscreen mode and forces the cursor to be included in screenshots 99% of the time
Reproducible? Yes. To recreate, open an application such as Firefox or MPlayer and enter its fullscreen mode. Try to Printscreen or Alt-Printscreen. Observe that the prompt will not appear until fullscreen mode is exited. If Escape is pressed before exiting fullscreen mode, the hidden screenshot prompt will be exited. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. [Bug 425931] [NEW] Failure to Display Attached Images in Evolution
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Firstly these are images attached to the html formatted email, not web- based images. Secondly Ctrl-i or the image-loading preferences do not make any difference. These display correctly when viewing them online in gmail. Images which are attached to some html formatted files are not displayed when the email is in the inbox. They are only shown as empty placeholders, and as attached files and can be viewed using the inline viewing buttons at the bottom of the window. When the received mail is moved to drafts folder, it still will still not display the inline images in preview window. However, when the mail is opened from drafts so that it is in it's own editing window, the images are displayed correctly (inline, between the text). >From that window I mailed the email from my jaunty client to my intrepid client in the usual manner, and the received email displays images correctly. I'm attaching an example of a problem email. It's e-mail source text file which I saved and then edited to remove personal info. I rechecked it and the image-loading behaviour has not changed. Tip: The saved file can be dragged directly from file browser to a folder (eg inbox/drafts) in evolution. [Bug 425621] Re: evolution crashes when opening multiple notes
Thank you for your quick response. I need to clarify: = apport doesn't report nothing relevant, but it _is_ activated. = = Evolution does not crash, it hangs up. = I'd really love to give you the valuable information given by apport, but when evolution hangs up, it is grayed out (not responding) and even after leaving the gray program alone for an hour or so, no corresponding crash report can be found in /var/crash (There already were some inside. To ensure it's the right one, I deleted the one having "evolution" in it, rebooted and reproduced the hangup - with no result). Yes. In the "Startup Applications Preferences", "Automatically remember..." is checked. I also have a custom running script that saves my session every so often with the "gnome-session-save" command. I tried reproducing it in a guest account, but it doesn't occur there (I only tested with four windows in two workspaces with several tabs in one of the four windows). [Bug 422234] Re: vinagre crashed with signal 5 in vinagre_utils_get_builder()
I'm well aware of Karmic's status. Have spent more time running development builds than release builds for more than two years. And *I* can (and did) build my own. But I also care and respect all of those who can't. I think that PulseAudio, Network Manager, Transmission, and others have the right idea: one (or sometimes more) PPA is built regularly, people test early and often, and what goes into the main repository has been better vetted. -- vinagre crashed with signal 5 in vinagre_utils_get_builder() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/422234 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to vinagre in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 423532] Re: lcd backlight never stays off
> That's strange, my menu.lst wasn't updating for some reason when I installed new kernels. I had the same behaviour with an early install of karmic. I thought it was because I also had windows and Jaunty on other partitions. Next time I installed karmic it started updating menu.lst after every new kernel. I'm no expert on dpms issues, but since `xset dmps force off` works and whatever gnome-power-manager does doesn't work, I'm guessing that the bug may be within there. If not, those who know gnome-power-manager should be able to tell us what low level commands to try. ** Summary changed: - lcd backlight never stays off + [i965gm] lcd backlight never stays off ** Also affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [i965gm] lcd backlight never stays off https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/423532 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 360228] Re: Rhythmbox album art is blurred in notification bubbles
It is definately two different problems. The bubbles can't be less blur than they are in the exemple files shown by Mirco at the end of the bug report I posted in my previous comment. About your icons not appearing when they are not square, I am not sure if it is the actual issue. I remember some album art not working in Exaile with a development version of notify-osd, but the issue vanished without me being able to find how to reproduce it. -- Rhythmbox album art is blurred in notification bubbles https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/360228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
