[Bug 507917] Re: Topics read as frame html content

2010-02-22 Thread WaywardGeek
I can confirm that Yelp does not work with Orca. I must admit I'm
dissapointed that this bug has been given low priority, as the blind
will not be able to access the Ubuntu help system until this is fixed.

This problem is caused by yelp switching from gecko to webkit, and
webkit remains non-accessible in any meaninful way. I recommend that
Ubuntu downgrade yelp to the version used in Karmic until the webkit
team can make significant progress.

[Bug 525645] [NEW] gnome-keyring misses introspection files

2010-02-22 Thread Michael Albinus
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-keyring

I've connected the gnome-keyring via the D-Bus service
org.freedesktop.secrets service. In order to evaluate properties, I need
D-Bus introspection data. This does not work, gnome-keyring writes the
warning:

** (gnome-keyring-daemon:10368): WARNING **: couldn't load introspect
data file: : Failed to open file '/usr/share/gnome-keyring/introspect
/introspect-collection.xml': No such file or directory

I guess, the same error would happen to introspect-item.xml, introspect-
prompt.xml, introspect-service.xml, and introspect-session.xml.

[Bug 525504] Re: All movie players crash when trying to open a video file.

2010-02-22 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal
with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report
a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport
in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus
and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report
you wish to submit.

If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using
/usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a
terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report.
I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

2010-02-22 Thread Matt Behrens
vmc: or, they might still be in /var/cache/apt/archives as well, a very
common trick I use for downgrades.

I pulled 1ubuntu4 builds for all the above packages I listed, installed
them, logged out/in and gnucash is again exhibiting severe UI slowdown.

Downgrading once again to 1ubuntu2 fixed the problem.

[Bug 525337] Re: rhythmbox crashes while pluging ipod classic

[Bug 525689] Re: microphone not working

2010-02-22 Thread Mitch Towner
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. Unfortunately we can't fix it without more information. Would you
please add the information requested from the Reporting Sound Bugs section of
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems as separate attachments? If you
are running using Jaunty or Karmic, please run the command apport-collect -p
alsa-base 525689.
If you are running Karmic, please read through the following wiki page as it
resolves a lot of common audio problems.

[Bug 525722] [NEW] Low resolution because of Mirror screens mode is selected by default

2010-02-22 Thread Alexey Osipov
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx Alpha 2 with today updates.

Using nouveau nvidia driver with GeForce 7600GT.
There are two monitors connected with different resolutions: 1280x1024 and
800x600 (DLP projector).

After first boot, checkbox Mirror screens is enabled by default, hence
resolution on both monitors is automatically set to 800x600.
Why we need Mirror screen enabled by default?
Why we need to choose lower resolution by default?
Isn't better to switch off second monitor or expand to it, configuring both
monitors to their native resolutions?

[Bug 507510] Re: Blackberry Curve 8310 is not Automatically Mounted by Filesystem

2010-02-22 Thread Martin Pitt
That looks fine. Can you please get another output when it's not
running? (Just keep plugging it in, umount, pull out, restart the
monitor so that you know where the relevant output started). Thanks!

[Bug 493223] Re: red sign with black minus appears next to tracks in last.fm personal radio station tells me I need text/html decoder plugin

2010-02-22 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Could you install libgnomevfs2-extra and see if this fixes your issue?

don't, rhythmbox stopped using gnomevfs and is using gvfs now,
installing that binary is known to create issues rather
