[Bug 530044] Re: Screensaver doesn't unlock
I had the same problem with Ubuntu 9.10. It started when my user account started to get notices about expiring password (MS ActiveDirectory & Likewise). [Bug 542806] Re: In chat rooms, empathy should not scroll to the bottom whenever a new message is received.
Please fix this in the official repos before Lucid release. Empathy is the default IRC client and #ubuntu is AN EXTREMELY important element of the Ubuntu culture. BTW, when you first start Empathy, the wizard does not let you install IRC. You have to quit it and and go to create account to use IRC. It should definitively be so that when you launch Empathy (or whatever happens to be the distro default for IRC) it shoudl automatically sign you to #ubuntu. Like I guess some other IRC cients do. Fix Released? I'd say for 5.28 it's "Invalid", for 5.29/5.30 it's "Won't fix" and for 5.31 it's "Triaged". And since 5.31 is our focus now we could set it to "Triaged" and change its title to "gcalctool 5.29 and later hides ...". [Bug 558904] [NEW] gstreamer no longer playing nonfree media files
Public bug reported: I've never had a problem with playing restricted formats in Ubuntu, until upgrading to Lucid development branch. Not sure what happened, but now when I click on an mp4 or flv video in nautilus, it opens up totem and asks whether I would like to search for a suitable codec. I let it search, and it finds nothing, so it starts playing the audio only. At first, even mplayer and vlc would also no longer play the files. mplayer gave an error on startup as follows: mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libopencore-amrnb.so.0: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32 So, I built libopencore-amrnb0 from source and installed it and now mplayer and vlc are playing the videos fine. Totem still refuses to recognize the videos. I assume I've done something to bork my system, but I would appreciate any input or suggestions for further debugging this problem. Thanks to everyone for their work. [Bug 558872] [NEW] empathy accounts fail to connect after manually unlocking keyring
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy The following problem only occurs when I use auto-login. If I DO NOT use auto-login, empathy is automatically started after logging in and my accounts connect automatically, i.e. there's a green speech bubble icon in the indicator applet and my contact list is populated. If I DO use auto-login, upon starting up I am prompted with "Enter password to unlock your login keyring". I enter my keyring successfully, but then empathy does not appear to be started at all (e.g. no speech bubble icon in the indicator applet). If I manually start empathy via the Indicator Applet, the contacts window is blank. If I then do Edit -> Accounts, my accounts are "Offline - Status is set to offline". If I uncheck "Enabled" and then recheck "Enabled", the accounts connect and are reported as "Available". However, the contacts window remains blank. If I Quit empathy and then start empathy again, everything is fine (I finally get the green speech bubble icon and can see my contacts). Re: [Bug 537742] Re: Duplicate mails in inbox
Hello Pedro. I wrote you a while back and I have not heard back from you. The workaround you proposed did not work because inside the evolution folder I did not find the .index file you mention. Is there any other way to fix this problem? Please advise. [Bug 558853] [NEW] PC does not hybernate
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager In my Ubuntu 09.10 Karmic and 10.04 Lucid beta2 installation, when requested to hybernate (from the power icon in the panel) the PC gets frozen: - the monitor is switched off; - the HD read/write LED stays ON. Then, when I force to shutdown from the PC power button and I reboot, after the fscheck, no wired LAN network is detected (according what the related panel icon says). To finally restore functionality, I have to reboot once again. [Bug 402017] Re: GDM login theme change when using accessibility features
This still happens under Lucid Beta 2, as well. I should point out that (on my machine, at least) logging in and then logging back out, or rebooting the machine, or restarting X, results in the theme and colors returning to normal. It's not necessary to edit config files. That is, the unexpected theming is only temporary. [Bug 553655] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in free()
I can also now definitely say that rhythmbox starts with no problems if the mtpdevice option is disabled using gconf-editor. This is definitaly a mtpdevice bug. 100% sure. If this option is enabled, rhythmbox crashes. If this option is disabled, rhythmbox works. -- rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in free() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/553655 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 553655] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in free()
I installed beta 2 now on the same MacBook Pro (I use a MacBook Pro by the way) and rhythmbox still crashes on startup. It is the same bug like before. This bug still exists and is not fixed. -- rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in free() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/553655 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
