Having the same issue here on the 32 bit x86 version of 10.10. When I am running Compiz and a new theme is chosen, all the elements correctly change EXCEPT the window border. The only way to change the window border is to choose "Customize" and set it manually to the correct theme. Quite annoying and could be very confusing to newcomers! I doubt it's considered a show-stopper, but still, it's glitch that didn't exist in previous versions so I suppose it's a regression. -- Theme settings do not apply fully https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/613143 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 573160] Re: Nautilus browser doesn't automatically refresh
I've had this problem for some time, too, on two 10.04 systems. Reinstalling gamin, installing python-gamin, killing nautilus all had no effect. However, someone mentioned Dropbox in a thread related to this problem, so I stopped Dropbox, and the autorefresh suddenly started working again. I restarted Dropbox, and the autorefresh continues to work (for now). In my case, the autorefresh usually works after a reboot, but at some point in time it stops working until the next reboot. However, stopping Dropbox is the only way I've been able to recover autorefresh without a reboot. [Bug 623700] [NEW] Edge condition in idle monitor
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-session While investigating https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=625374 I've run across a corner case in the gnome-session idle monitor which also exposes the Xserver bug referenced in that gnome-screensaver bug. In _xsync_alarm_set in gs-idle-monitor.c the positive and negative transition intervals are set to the same value. However, the SYNC extension defines the positive transition as set when the counter goes from strictly below the threshold to greater than or equal to the threshold and similarly a negative transition is triggered when the counter goes form strictly greater than the threshold to less than or equal to the threshold. Thus in the current set up there's a chance that the positive transition can trigger, marking the session as idle, and some user input occur on the same click so the IDLETIME count will hit the threshold but not go above so the negative transition will not trigger. Thus the session will not be marked as active. The negative transition threshold should be set to 1ms less than the positive transition to ensure that it always fires. [Bug 623153] Re: Auto-hiding gnome panel does no appear when application is on fullscreen
My netbook has very little screen space (1024x600), so I have to make use of every pixel. So I let my panel hide automatically (gives me ca. 24 pixel) and I use the fullscreen (F11) option e.g. of Firefox to get rid of the title bar. (Before you mention it: the nebook launcher currently seems to be broken in maverick, and it also is not flexible enough for me) I see your argument, I would distinguish between a "make-maximal-use-of- the-screen" kind of fullscreen (e.g. Firefox, Terminator) and a "presentational" fullscreen (OOo Impress presentation, video playback, games). The former should allow display of the panel, the latter should not. A simple solution would be to add a checkbox to the panel properties, whether to unhide the panel when the currently active application is in fullscreen mode. ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- Auto-hiding gnome panel does no appear when application is on fullscreen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/623153 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal: apport-collect 623561 This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability to "Change Non-Private" data as it will be adding information to your bug report. Thanks in advance! When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's "Help -> Report a Problem" menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected.
