[Bug 576698] Re: gnome-power-manager hibernates instead of suspending on idle
Confirming this same bug on Maverick 10.10 on a T42 Thinkpad, I'm not sure if/what other information might be needed, but I will add it on demand. Manual suspend works correctly. This is a very frustrating bug as hibernate is incredibly slow on this system and despite the GPM setting to suspend when idle, it hibernates. -- gnome-power-manager hibernates instead of suspending on idle https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/576698 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 626142] [NEW] evince will not launch external programs in presentation mode
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince PROBLEM: when viewing a PDF file with associated external content, such as a movie, evince will launch the external helper application when in normal or full screen mode, but will not do so in presentation mode. When in normal or full screen mode, the mouse pointer changes from an arrow to a finger, and the tooltip "launch .." will appear. When in presentation mode, the mouse pointer never changes shape, and clicking on the embedded link merely causes the presentation to advance to the next page. EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: evince should launch the external application in presentation mode, the same way it does in the normal and full screen modes. TO REPRODUCE: Download attachment. Unpack in separate folder. Open test.pdf with evince. Clicking on the image on page 2 will launch the movie storm.mov in normal and full screen modes. It will fail to do so in presentation mode. I am in the latest version of Ubuntu - 10.04 and according to Update Manager, everything is up to date so I assume I have the latest of everything. I am still experiencing this issue. I hear the ringing but I can not find ANY POSSIBLE way to accept the call. It would be nice if Empathy would all around expand on its SIP functionality. SIP is a great protocol and it would be nice to have more options and a keypad or something similar to how other softphones have (Counterpath Products like X-lite http://counterpath.com) It is absolutely pivotal, though, to be able to answer a damn call. [Bug 626040] [NEW] libgtk 2.21.6 random segfault with many gdk functions
Public bug reported: Since the move to libgtk 2.21.6 some applications like nautilus tend to crash segfault randomly. gdb show the segfaults happen on many gdk functions. Here are two differents backtraces for a same segfault happening in differents conditions. http://pastebin.com/pue90cRC http://pastebin.com/SjVsJN90 There are other segfaults that concern some other gdk functions but they are hard to reproduce because of the previous one. Downgrading to libgtk 2.21.5 solve theses segfault. But there's now too many packages asking for libgtk 2.21.6 as a depency to be a viable solution. The strange thing is that if you previously compiled nautilus with libgtk 2.21.5 even if you update libgtk-2.0 to 2.21.6 then the problem is solved. Maybe this come from some missing headers in 2.21.6. I don't have any clue but this is what i've observed and what the backtraces tend to say. This bug may concern some other gtk apps than nautilus, some apps using advanced drawing gdk functions. It's a critical bug because nautilus is barely usable and even to get a window you have to pray for it to avoid the random crash at launch and after. Just change a theme and nautilus crash / restart. It happens very very often. ps: reported upstream https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=628216 ** Affects: gtk+2.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- libgtk 2.21.6 random segfault with many gdk functions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/626040 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 625951] Re: gnome-keyboard-properties crashes choosing a new keyboard layout
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- gnome-keyboard-properties crashes choosing a new keyboard layout https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/625951 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
