[Bug 50198] Re: Timeout has expired error on resume from hibernate
I also think this bug should receive a higher priority. After suspend I usually have the Time has expired message. Normally this isn't a problem but recently I had a complete freeze of the system and I couldn't enter my password at all. I couldn't reproduce this on a subsequent test though. [Bug 687284] [NEW] Selecting Inbox from top panel menu doesn't do anything
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution I have two inboxes setup in Evolution ('Canonical' 'Personal'). In the top panel menu (the envelope icon next to the date/time), there are menu options (with an unread count) for each of the inboxes. When you select one of these it brings Evolution to the front, but doesn't focus on the inbox you selected. Test case: 1.) Set up Evolution with two accounts 2.) Open Evolution 3.) Select (for example) 'Deleted Items' of your 'Personal' inbox. 4.) Minimise Evolution 5.) From the top-panel menu, select 'Work' (or whatever your 'other' inbox is called) from the menu 6.) Note that the selected item in the left-hand menu is still 'Deleted Items' of 'Personal' I admit that is not *necessarily* a bug, but I do see it as a serious usability issue. If I'm checking my unread email in my work inbox, then the envelope turns green to tell me I have unread messages - I want to go to the top-panel menu, select the 'Work' inbox (which has '1' unread against it) and I want Evolution to drop me in that Inbox. Otherwise I don't see the point of these menu options other than to display the unread counts. [Bug 629613] Re: Noise while seeking
I have this problem also. It seems there are two separate problems: 1. There is a ckrtsch noise when seeking. This problem is in gstreamer. 2. Totem seeks immediately while you drag the slider instead of playing normally until you drop the slider, and then seek once. This problem is in Totem. Of course, the consequences of this misbehavior are magnified due to problem 1. ** Changed in: gstreamer0.10 (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gstreamer0.10 in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/629613 Title: Noise while seeking -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 687375] [NEW] Empathy Does save yahoo aliases, but doesn't show them in them in the buddies list.
You have been subscribed to a public bug: There are several bug reports around about Empathy not saving the aliases for Yahoo, but what I'm seeing is that it actually has saved them (somewhere) because when I open the chat windows it shows the edited aliases, but it is just in the buddies list* that it only shows the Yahoo id. So I don't know how related, different, or identical this is to previous reports, but it doesn't seem to be exactly the same because of what is mentioned in those reports - about there not being an API to save the info, since it appears it is saved (somewhere). Maybe if I logged into Yahoo somewhere else it wouldn't be saved? So this bug report is basically that - if it can show them in the chat window, perhaps it can/should be showing them in the list - even if it didn't saved back to Yahoo, that perhaps is not possible. * I don't know this is called in Empathy because my computer is in Japanese, but hopefully you know what I mean. ** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Empathy Does save yahoo aliases, but doesn't show them in them in the buddies list. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/687375 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 615549] Re: gdm/kdm starting too early for DRM modules to load, no video
I have had the same problem since 10.04. On MSI EX600 running GeForce 8400M G driver version 260.19.21. The kernel is 2.6.35-24. Before upgrading to 10.04 gdm worked perfectly but since then I get to the shell 50% of the time. So Ubuntu 10.10 has not fixed this problem as of today. Running on batteries or not makes no difference. My gdm package is 2.30.5-0ubuntu4 (standard maverick package). Any ideas? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/615549 Title: gdm/kdm starting too early for DRM modules to load, no video -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 480731] Re: After upgrade to 9.10, Nautilus FTP adds space before some filenames
For anyone still looking into this, we've recently notices this same problem with a few other FTP programs and discovered that on AIX, ls -l and ls through FTP show the date and time of a file if it is less than 6 months old. Older files get the time is replaced with the year. e.g.: drwxr-sr-x5 nobody nogroup 256 Jun 30 10:51 bulletin drwxr-sr-x6 nobody nogroup 256 Nov 06 2009 cfi drwxr-xr-x6 nobody nogroup 256 Jan 15 2010 wpc In this directory, Nautilus will only show the file with the time correctly. The other two have the problem with the leading space. It seems like somehow when Nautilus is parsing the ls output, that the extra space is coming from the end of the date columns somehow. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480731 Title: After upgrade to 9.10, Nautilus FTP adds space before some filenames -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 615549] Re: gdm/kdm starting too early for DRM modules to load, no video
I also tried editing /etc/init.d/gdm.conf as stated at top of this thread with no effect. Also sudo service gdm start does not work. A strange thing is that shutting down the laptop causes the NVidia logo to appear immediately after pressing the power button to shut down the machine. It appears that the driver is waiting for some user input or signal at boot time. And it gets it when shutdown is started.

A co-worker of mine was looking into why other people in our office using Dreamweaver weren't having this problem and found this: 6. Specific FTP server issues Macromedia has created a Dreamweaver MX 2004 extension for both Windows and Macintosh that resolves some FTP conflicts with IBM AIX and OS/400 servers. You should only install this extension if you are connecting to an IBM AIX or OS/400 server. Symptoms of the problem include: Access Denied errors when attempting to access files or folders older than the current calendar year. Dreamweaver cannot determine the remote server time errors and the Synchronize function not working. Incorrect information in the Files panel, like extra spaces, junk characters, wrong kind of information in a particular field, etc. (Ref. 169317).
