It takes a lot more effort to click than to mouse over (it seems silly, but you waste two clicks) in addition to the way that you got the information before, where you had to move the mouse over the icon. [Bug 595008] Re: should port the GNOME Ubuntu cdbs custom rules to dh7
Sorry, I missed this bug when I created bug 735934 this morning. I am mostly done with creating a dh_translations (dh-translations package built from pkgbinarymangler) which takes over all functionality of our cdbs langpacks.mk. The remaining Ubuntu customizations to gnome.mk, as well as the stuff that Debian does as well should still be ported to debhelper, and the resulting dh_gnome should move to gnome-pkg-tools. Then Ubuntu's gnome- pkg-tools would just need to depend on dh-translations, and we wouldn't need any other delta. ** Summary changed: - should port the Ubuntu cdbs custom rules to dh7 + should port the GNOME Ubuntu cdbs custom rules to dh7 ** Package changed: debhelper (Ubuntu) => gnome-pkg-tools (Ubuntu) ** Summary changed: - should port the GNOME Ubuntu cdbs custom rules to dh7 + should port the GNOME cdbs custom rules to dh7 ** Changed in: gnome-pkg-tools (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: gnome-pkg-tools (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-pkg-tools in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/595008 Title: should port the GNOME cdbs custom rules to dh7 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 595008] [NEW] should port the GNOME Ubuntu cdbs custom rules to dh7
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: debhelper Currently our cdbs has some custom Ubuntu rules, we should port those to dh7: * langpack.mk: - run intltool-update after build to create a translation template for rosetta - set gettext domain in .desktop and .server - strip gconf schemas translations * debhelper.mk: - don't ship upstream changelogs by default to win CD space - symlink identic documentation directories - symlink identic files in the GNOME documentation (ie screenshot in translations identic to the english version) Currently gnome.mk includes those which means the sources using the gnome rules don't need any change on Ubuntu. [Bug 269215] Re: There is a problem with the configuration server. (/usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256)
Bug bit me too. I got it to a point where I could get the error to cease for one restart then it would come back. Dell GX520 32-bit old warhorse used as a library catalog kiosk. Ubuntu v. 10.10. On boot a script restores a .tar backup of the public user profile (home folder) so that if a user messes with the PC, we just reboot, same idea as DeepFreeze for Windows. Upon a 3 second delay to allow the restore script to fire and complete, auto-logon fires off into the public kiosk desktop, but the "254" error comes up first, hit OK and everything is just fine with how the PC operates. I tried all the solutions everyone has suggested and it's not flying, or it might only work for one round, and I am creating a new .TAR after each attempt to fix so I don't overwrite the fix on reboot. Here's a clue: if I do a restart, it goes clean (sometimes). A cold boot yeilds the error consistantly. I hope someone can see something in my .xsession... file that would point to what I'm missing. [Bug 709804] Re: citeing does not work when answering to an e-mail!
I have got the same problem on the german version. Normaly, if you click on "Answer" a mail, the full content of the original mail is copied to the end of new mail, with an information when this cited content has been received. If the sender has got any umlaut/mutation in his name, only the line with the received information is copied. But the original mail content wouldn't be copied. If the name of the original sender hasn't got any umlaut/mutation in his name, all of the old message is copied to the end of the new Message. I hope this little description helps you to find the problem. [Bug 175233] Re: Evolution hangs with "Formatting Message" after several hours
On a whole bunch of identical Ubuntu desktops with identical configurations, this problem is only affecting one user. Even when this user logs into a different desktop, the problem seems to follow them. The evolution process gets stuck in futex_wait and after killing evolution and restarting, it will freeze again immediately. The only way to unfreeze and restart evolution is to kill evolution-data-server as well. This occurs about 2 to 4 times a day. The problem only started after the user first tried to use the calender, however even after clearing out all evolution data and configuration the problem remained. The only common factor to all of this is the addressbook.db file. We will remove this and start a new addressbook.db file from scratch... lets hope this fixes the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/175233 Title: Evolution hangs with "Formatting Message" after several hours -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
