[Bug 607175] Give her the hottest night

2011-05-21 Thread Anders Wallenquist
You shouldn’t forget that you are not alone, as hundreds also fight their daily
depression!

Dear 607175,

Even if your sex life is already rich and fulfilling... Imagine you had a
little more energy... if your erections stayed harder... or you could go just a
little longer...
Or maybe you worry, when you climb under the covers, that you’re starting
something you can’t finish?
Well, now advancements in natural medicine are making it easier than ever to
promote a strong libido, firm, natural erections and enhanced desire.

Now thanks to this exciting natural breakthrough, you could get an erection “on
demand” and when you do, sustain it long enough – and keep firm enough — to
fully satisfy your wife in bed. Even if you’re in your 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s or
older!

As a doctor, I’ve learned something over the years that may surprise you — age
has very little to do with sex. There are men out there having the best sex of
their lives well into their 80th year and beyond.

And those men have three key things in common that their sex starved friends
don’t:
Hard, recurring erections...
Heightened desire and stamina...
And a reproductive system that could be functioning at the top of its game...

   Lucky? You bet.

But you too could give your body the nutrients it needs to support your entire
sexual health.

If you prefer, you may call impotence erectile dysfunction, but it doesn’t
change anything.

[Bug 549986] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV on startup

2011-05-21 Thread Sergio Barjola
I've test in Ubuntu Natty and still it's present, but now, I'm thinking
that maybe it's not the same original bug reporter bug.

When I close rhythmbox and open it again (1 second after), it crash:
next open after crash run ok. (Don't worry if you select ubuntu one
music or not).

I've tryed to obtain a backtrace, but running from a terminal not crash.
I think that could be a problem with the time needed to shutting down the
application. From terminal, I have to wait some time from I click close and I
get the command line control.

[Bug 786115] Re: display glitches in clock and other applets

2011-05-21 Thread Oliver Joos
I see the same bug since upgrading to 11.04!
Here it occurs when I login to Ubuntu classic without effects, open a panel
menu (e.g. the application menu) and wait until a popup text appears. When such
popup box closes, it leaves a hole in the panel. AFAIK applets are redrawn
correctly, only the panel background is affected. It does not matter if the
panel background is set to System default, to Solid Color with or without
transparency or to Image.

The hardware here is a HP Compaq 6715b with ATI RS690 (X1200) graphics
adapter.

@Martin: what is your hardware?

I don't know if it is really reproducible but it happens really often.
I believe it is linked with msn protocol when the server is down for a moment

If you have some ideas of tests I could run to precise it, I'd gladly
appreciate it.

[Bug 785797] Re: Evolution cannot read aol webmail

2011-05-21 Thread Cliffm
What I did to solve this.
I noticed Evolution could not open certain emails from AOL. When I opened AOL
it would open at a certain email. I tried to open that email and AOL notified
me that it could not, so I deleted it. Then opened Evolution and found it had
loaded more of the emails. Evolution loaded up to a certain email again by
noting the date of the email then going back to AOL and finding this dated
email and attempted to open the next newer email and found AOL could not open
the email. deleted the email again and Evolution read some more.

Continued this process until Evolution loaded AoL completely.

Something happened from Evolution to AOL when Evolution was closed and
crashed?

Hope this helps
Thanks Cliff

[Bug 786175] [NEW] gdm Upstart init configuration missing job start on event

2011-05-21 Thread Harvey Muller
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

Currently gdm starts regardless of the status of acpid. When X starts
it looks for /var/run/acpid.socket and emits a warning in X.org.log when
it is not found:

(WW) Open ACPI failed (/var/run/acpid.socket)

Adding and started acpid to the start on stanza causes gdm to wait
until acpid is finished starting. This also eliminates the warning in
X.org.log.

I have tested this solution and found it to work on my ACPI aware
system. A working patch is attached which resolves the problem.

I am currently running Natty amd64. This may resolve bug #585790 also.

[Bug 786181] [NEW] command to open a conversation with a certain buddy

2011-05-21 Thread Chriskin
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: empathy

(that is supposed to be a feature request/question)

If there is a way to open a conversation with a certain buddy , i would
like to know how i can do that - i would like to make a quicklist for
unity's launcher to include certain buddies of mine on right-click

If there is no way to do it at the time, i would like to ask for it . It
seems to me like a rather nice way to use unity's quicklists

RE: [Bug 556518] Items in the Go menu do not work

2011-05-21 Thread Tue Le
My apologies. Because I am running Ubuntu for productive purposes, I can only
download long term support updates. However, I put a note on my desktop to
remind myself to test the Dictionary when I upgrade to the next LTS Ubuntu
distribution.

I apologize for any convenience this may cause.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or

issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May
you please test with that version and comment back if you're still
having or not the issue? Please have a look at

[Bug 781419] Re: home folder don't open in places

2011-05-21 Thread Marcel Stimberg
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include
enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs
effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be
grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.
We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.
At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

I'm reassigning this bug to nautilus (the file manager), it does not
seem to be about evince (the document viewer) -- could you run the
command apport-collect 781419 in a terminal to attach the correct
debug information? Thanks.

[Bug 786223] [NEW] Can't open drawer in gnome panel

2011-05-21 Thread Kenneth MacKenzie
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I'm using the Classic Gnome desktop in Ubuntu 11.04. When I click on a

.xsession-errors:

  (gnome-panel:26293): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_widget_map: assertion

If I create a new drawer and add some items to it then it will open and
close successfully until the end of the X session, but it stops working
in subsequent sessions. This behaviour began when I upgraded from 10.10

[Bug 786249] [NEW] Context pane causes rhythmbox to hang on certain tracks

[Bug 132417] Re: evince doesn't display the correct font

2011-05-21 Thread Maxim Levitsky
Its very simple actually.
Fontconfig is just a mess.
It can happly pick up a preffered that misses glyphs that
document needs.

So to fix the '=' issue I removed the 'ttf-symbol-replacement' font
which apparently isn't such a correct symbol replacement.

After that, fontconfig picked up as the Symbol font the
'/usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/Symbol.pfb'

Which belongs to

maxim@maxim-laptop:~$ sudo dpkg -S /usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/Symbol.pfb
xfonts-mathml: /usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/Symbol.pfb

Hopefully, if you have that package installed the same will happen and
the = glyph will render normally again.

Now about some homeworks I had that were in hebrew, and were missing most
Hebrew fonts
(like the one I attached here)

These files were using the Nimbus Roman No9 L to render most fonts and
its very bad Times replacement, becuse it misses Hebrew glyphs.

I hoped to install MS fonts from 'ttf-mscorefonts-installer', but If you
installed them in hope that you will get correct fonts, font-config won't pick
these fonts.
There is a forest of setting files in /etc/fonts that make it select anything
but not these fonts,

I just back-uped and removed the /usr/share/fonts/type1/gsfonts/ which
contain that dreadful 'Nimbus Roman No9 L' font that replaces Times New
Roman, and probably few more fonts and installed 'ttf-mscorefonts-
installer' and now all my docs show up correctly (also with ttf-symbol-
replacement, and 'Symbol' isn't mapped to MS font, but the one I told
above seems to work fine)

The point it that these replacements don't contain nearly as much glyphs
as needed unlike MS fonts and fonconfig isn't smart enough to pick _any_
font that has these glyphs. I am not picky about fonts, I just need to
be able to read the document, in this case in Hebrew.

Instead of MS fonts, you can use the Dejavu fonts at least which are installed,
and once again fontconfig doesn't pick them.
These fonts have good Unicode coverage, but still don't render everything
correctly, in that old homework.
Once again to let these fonts to be used you need to apply some magic to
/etc/fonts.
(They seems to be used if I just remove the /usr/share/fonts/type1/gsfonts/ and
the MS fonts)

[Bug 786317] [NEW] wacom intuous3 often fails to draw stroke (release click not recognised?)

2011-05-21 Thread Andrew Kay
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gimp

It appears that sometimes when the pen is lifted a button up command is
somehow not sent to gimp.
This is new in Natty (it all worked beautifully in Maverick)

gimp 2.6.11,
ubuntu natty
Wacom intuous3 6x8

To reproduce:
make sure you have selected wacom as extended input device. Press P to paint.
Make a stroke. Very often (but not always) at the end of the stroke when the
pen is lifted the paint cursor remains at the end of the stroke and does not
follow the pointer. It's necessary to click again (anywhere, or with any
button) to get the cursor following the pointer again before you can draw
another stroke. This makes gimp unusable.

ProblemType: Bug

Package: gimp 2.6.11-1ubuntu6

[Bug 783130] Re: Missing users on Ubuntu login screen

@seanlano
What you describe happens to me - exactly as you explain it.

It was never a problem on my old PC with Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit, but this bug has
appeared in Ubuntu 11.04 (64-bit) on my new PC.
Does it affect 32-bit and 64-bit Ubuntu?

How can I or anyone else help to get this bug fixed?

[Bug 777712] Re: password dialog doesn't appear when screensaver ends

I'm also using Unity.

The problem seems a little bit random and I couldn't identify nothing in
the logs that justified it...

My GPU is an intel combined with a Nvidia 310m... I blacklisted nouveau
at first, but the problem still happens... I'm also not using nvidia
closed source driver...

[Bug 366963] Re: nautilus open with property no longer available for folders

2011-05-21 Thread David Tolnay
Ubuntu Tweak exposes the open with setting for folders. Click on
System - File Type Manager in Ubuntu Tweak's sidebar, choose All for
the category, find folder in the list of file types, and click Edit.
This fixes problems similar to Revup's in a slightly more intuitive way,
but it would still be nice for this setting to appear in Nautilus
itself.

It is worth noting that even if you use Ubuntu Tweak to pick something
other than Nautilus as the default application to open folders, (most?)
file managers will continue to function as normal. For example, even
after choosing VLC as the default application, I could still browse
through directories structures in Nautilus, Dolphin and Thunar. The only
changes were that VLC appeared as an open with option in the context
menu for folders, and that gnome-panel Places used VLC to open folders.
So at least in my case Sebastien Bacher's justification that Changing
the default doesn't make sense because when double clicking on a
directory in nautilus you get whatever sofrware started rather than the
directory open when you do that change seems contradictory to what
actually happens.

[Bug 765847] Re: Send to Email is missing on Natty

2011-05-21 Thread Joel
While the workaround provided the sendto email option, I also had data
migration failures (.evolution --- .local/share/evolution) with this
upgrade from Maverick, I could not get past evolution hanging after
send to email, it was identical to loicjacquard's post in bug #773121

Did a export backup of evolution, and installed a fresh copy of Natty,
workaround is currently working, the sendto option is available and
brings up the mail message w/attachment.

[Bug 694744] Re: New nautilus processes are continually spawned at login

2011-05-21 Thread Eliah Kagan
@David Stansby
From your description, this bug doesn't seem like a crash to me, but perhaps I
am missing something that Sebastien Bacher properly recognized. Before we
re-subscribe him to this bug and ask, have you tried enabling Apport and
seeing if a crash reporting window comes up (or a crash report is generated in
/var/crash)? Besides what Sebastian Bacher has said, there are also detailed
instructions for enabling Apport at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport#How%20to%20enable%20apport.
