I've deleted this two files and now all is ok...
PS: reinstall gstreamer didn't solve the problem, the gstreamer configs files
seems to be corrupt, probably after a crash.

So it is like yelp is not installed at all. Only the default Ubuntu Help

[Bug 805747] Re: Unnecessary gst-keyboard-xkb appearing in Notification Area when multiple keyboard layouts enabled

2011-07-04 Thread Robert Ancell
To reproduce:
1. Log into GNOME Shell
2. Add new layout: System Settings > Region and Language > Layouts, add new
layout

Observed behaviour:
Broken icon is shown at bottom right of screen, hovering over it has test
gsd-keyboard-xkb. Clicking on it shows the Unity indicator settings for
keyboard layout.

Expected behaviour:
This element should not appear, as GNOME shell already has a keyboard layout
switcher on the top of the screen

[Bug 805753] [NEW] SRU patch ; 02_dont_set_default.patch should not have been applied in lucid

2011-07-04 Thread Doug McMahon
Public bug reported:

While the patch was proper for nautilus in 10.10 and 11.04 it's not for 10.04
What's it's doing is now preventing any app from being added to the right click
context menu at all.
There never was any issue with nautilus-2.30.0, can be clearly seen from a
fresh 10.04.2 install

When a dir. is first opened with something other than nautilus this line is
created in ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list
Using vlc as an example
inode/directory=nautilus-folder-handler.desktop;vlc.desktop;

You'll notice that nautilus-folder-handler.desktop; is automatically added to
the front of the line, vlc added on. This assures nautilus remains the default
and vlc becomes available from the right click context menu
Any additional apps added from the r. click > open with other application will
be appended to end of the line, become avail. from the context menu and
nautilus remains the default

With the patched/updated nautilus the line is not created, if it did exist
prior to the update nothing will be added to it.
The result is no apps will be available directly from the context menu
It would seem this was not properly tested fot 10.04 and the patch should be
reverted for 10.04.3

[Bug 805747] [NEW] Unnecessary gst-keyboard-xkb appearing in Notification Area when multiple keyboard layouts enabled

2011-07-04 Thread Andrew Cowie
Public bug reported:

Running GNOME3 and enabling a second keyboard layout has caused a
"[broken image] gst-keyboard-xkb" to appear in my Notification Area.

gnome-shell's active layout indicator up next to accessibility and
volume is present and working. But a separate thing, calling itself
"gst-keyboard-xkb" with a menu is incorrectly appearing in the
Notification Area.

The annoying thing in the Notification Area would appear to be related
to the libappindicator3-1 dependency but may be a GtkStatusIcon driven
fallback.

Rebuilding the package to remove the appindicator support patches would
likely fix the issue; that's not the right resolution of course but
upstream does not consider this their problem since it arrises from an
Ubuntu patch.

[Bug 805743] [NEW] gst-keyboard-xkb should be gsd-keyboard-xkb

2011-07-04 Thread Andrew Cowie
Public bug reported:

The string "gst-keyboard-xkb" appearing in the GtkStatusIcon (?)
powering the indicator (?) for keyboard layout switching should be be
"gsd-keyboard-xkb" ... the gst prefix makes it sound like GStreamer and
not gnome-settings-daemon.

Filed as requested by GNOME upstream.

[Bug 787103] Re: stops playing after one song

I've got the exact same problem on Ubuntu Natty. The debug output is
huge since it contains a lot of references to all the songs in my
database. Should it still be posted here ? (> 20MB text file).

While playing with the settings, i noticed this crash was less prone to
happen with the crossfading backend enabled. Some other testimonies will
be needed though...

Did you test using version 3.1.2 in Oneiric? That's the version I
used, you previously mentioned version 3.0.2.

Could you report this as a new bug, please (or better first check
whether it has already been reported)?

This kind of comment does not really help -- in many regards Outlook's
behaviour is far away from "correct" and simply copying Outlook is
certainly not what evolution's developers are trying to achieve.

[Bug 388550] Re: Can't change default calendar view

2011-07-04 Thread Zordid
No, that is not true. I just tested the work week view, clicked change
month in the little calendar to the left and ended up in day view!

There's even another strange behavior to see: when you enable week numbers
(shown in the little calendar), select work week view and then click on the
week numbers, you stay in work week view - that is correct. But clicking next
month then (only when week numbers is enabled!!) you end up in the next month,
but the shown week (still work week view) is something like Wednesday to
Tuesday or Thursday to Wednesday - but NOT Monday through Sunday anymore!
Very, very annoying and wrong behavior!!

Could somebody please just see how Outlook does this? That would be
correct behavior!

[Bug 805682] [NEW] [Oneiric] Nautilus takes too long to load when opened by gksudo

2011-07-04 Thread Sam_
Public bug reported:

Reproducable.
Open Nautilus in a terminal with gksudo, the loading wheel spins too long, in
this time user can't click on folders to open them in order to work.
Nautilus opened by user via terminal immediately loads, ready to work and
without any messages.

Apport says the report is damaged. Maybe it tries to overwrite it, so

[Bug 388550] Re: Can't change default calendar view

2011-07-04 Thread Marcel Stimberg
Actually, the bug you reported in bug #805114 seems to be fixed in evolution
3.1.2 (the current version in Oneiric): If you are in the work week view and
change the month in the little calendar in the left sidebar, the view remains
in work week mode. The same is true for the month and the list view, the week
view however always switches to the day view.
The OP in this bug report did not mention changing months but selecting a
specific day from the calendar -- this still always changes the view into day
view. I'll update the upstream bug accordingly.

[Bug 805666] [NEW] error ejecting DVD/CD after burning complete

2011-07-04 Thread B3Nji
Public bug reported:

After burning a DVD or CD with either data or an ISO I get the error.

Please eject the disc from "TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S202N" manually.
The disc could not be ejected though it needs to be removed for the current
operation to continue.

This has happens after multiple tries.

If I manually eject the disk, I am unable to read it. When putting it
back in my drive Ubuntu does not see any disk in the drive.

[Bug 805658] [NEW] various redraw errors with gnome

2011-07-04 Thread Thomas Schweikle
Public bug reported:

Open a window (shell, browser, LibreOffice, ...) open some more windows, work.
Move some of the windows from one desktop to the other. Parts of the moved
windows will still display. Switching from one console to an other will remove
these parts and redraw the whole screen.
Sometimes this is true moving windows to top or bottom too. The old window
moved down the stack is displayed further util the whole desktop is redrawn.
>From time to time this is with the taskbar too. The only way to force it
>redrawn is switch to an other console, then back. This is quite annoying ...

[Bug 805468] [NEW] GIMP window placement includes grab resize borders

2011-07-04 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

release:Ubuntu 11.04
package: gimp
version: 2.6.11-1ubuntu6.1

I have set GIMP to save the position of the main window and the toolbox
windows. However, when I restart GIMP, the toolbox windows are placed
with an offset that seems to correspond to the grab resize borders
(top:0; left: 7px). This causes the windows not to be aligned properly
and they overlap on other workspaces.

I'm not sure if this is a bug in GIMP or if it's due to the way how grab
resize borders have been implemented (see bug 710271).

Tried waiting - for half an hour, did not work. :-( I did it again and
did not perform the announced distribution upgrade, then it still works!

Now: Evolution 3.0.2 still HAS the same old bug. Changing the date

Annoying and I ask myself: does ANYBODY who develops such an application
ever use it himself? *gr*

Please, could anybody with a bugzilla account post the upstream bug? I
don't want to have millions of accounts all over the world!
