[Bug 805753] [NEW] SRU patch ; 02_dont_set_default.patch should not have been applied in lucid
Public bug reported: While the patch was proper for nautilus in 10.10 and 11.04 it's not for 10.04 What's it's doing is now preventing any app from being added to the right click context menu at all. There never was any issue with nautilus-2.30.0, can be clearly seen from a fresh 10.04.2 install When a dir. is first opened with something other than nautilus this line is created in ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list Using vlc as an example inode/directory=nautilus-folder-handler.desktop;vlc.desktop; You'll notice that nautilus-folder-handler.desktop; is automatically added to the front of the line, vlc added on. This assures nautilus remains the default and vlc becomes available from the right click context menu Any additional apps added from the r. click > open with other application will be appended to end of the line, become avail. from the context menu and nautilus remains the default With the patched/updated nautilus the line is not created, if it did exist prior to the update nothing will be added to it. The result is no apps will be available directly from the context menu It would seem this was not properly tested fot 10.04 and the patch should be reverted for 10.04.3 For reference - Bug #662194 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: nautilus 1:2.30.1-0ubuntu1.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-32.62-generic 2.6.32.38+drm33.16 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-32-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: i386 Date: Mon Jul 4 20:58:49 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release i386 (20110211.1) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 lucid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/805753 Title: SRU patch ; 02_dont_set_default.patch should not have been applied in lucid To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/805753/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 805747] [NEW] Unnecessary gst-keyboard-xkb appearing in Notification Area when multiple keyboard layouts enabled
Public bug reported: Running GNOME3 and enabling a second keyboard layout has caused a "[broken image] gst-keyboard-xkb" to appear in my Notification Area. gnome-shell's active layout indicator up next to accessibility and volume is present and working. But a separate thing, calling itself "gst-keyboard-xkb" with a menu is incorrectly appearing in the Notification Area. The annoying thing in the Notification Area would appear to be related to the libappindicator3-1 dependency but may be a GtkStatusIcon driven fallback. Rebuilding the package to remove the appindicator support patches would likely fix the issue; that's not the right resolution of course but upstream does not consider this their problem since it arrises from an Ubuntu patch. [Bug 388550] Re: Can't change default calendar view
Actually, the bug you reported in bug #805114 seems to be fixed in evolution 3.1.2 (the current version in Oneiric): If you are in the work week view and change the month in the little calendar in the left sidebar, the view remains in work week mode. The same is true for the month and the list view, the week view however always switches to the day view. The OP in this bug report did not mention changing months but selecting a specific day from the calendar -- this still always changes the view into day view. I'll update the upstream bug accordingly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/388550 Title: Can't change default calendar view To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evolution/+bug/388550/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

This causes the windows not to be aligned properly and they overlap on other workspaces.
