[Bug 751756] Re: Request: Add an image viewer to Preferred Applications
In my opinion, this is fixed in Oneiric, the latest development release, so this should be set to Fix Released. Oneiric has the new control center from gnome, and the System Info applet's Default Applications section (the same as the Preferred Application was on previous versions) does seem to have a combobox to set the default image viewer, called Photos, see the screenshot attached. Is this enough to satisfy your needs, and to close this bu ? [Bug 756829] Re: there should be a easy way to reach the configuration GUI in Natty Unity
Yes, the gnome-control center is installed by default, and is accessible in Natty by clicking the power button in the top right corner, and selecting system settings, the last item from the menu. [Bug 692042] Re: A colon in a podcast Title causes mkdir error
Thanks for the response. I have tested again. Using Rhythmbox v0.13.3 on Ubuntu v11.04 (Natty) with all updates installed at the date/time of this comment. System ASUS EEE PC 900. The save directory is set to a location on a CIFS-mounted NAS (Lime Technology UnRaid) running Samba. When attempting to download the latest podcast from Makezine (http://blog.makezine.com/feed/rss) the following message was given: "Unable to create the download directory for file:///mnt/bigtower.media/Audio/PodCasts/MAKE%20Magazine_%20MAKE%20Podcast/TEST/Make:%20Online /TYH-plywood-boat.m4v: Error creating directory: Not a directory" Note the illegal character ":" in the attempted mkdir. The ":" is used by the publisher of the blog in the title of the blog and - presumably - Rhythmbox uses the title as the name of the dir without removing illegal chars. When the save directory is on the local machine, the download works OK. The bug only occurs when trying to save on the NAS which is cifs mounted. Presumably that's because ":" is a reserved char in windows but not in unix. [Bug 488513] Re: Headphone output ear-bleedingly loud on Karmic
Things are better, but not all fixed in Natty. The problem with only part of the volume slider being usable is fixed. Pulseaudio also doesn't touch the headphones audio level anymore when the connector is set to "Analog Speakers" in the Sound Preferences, so that irritation is gone as well. However, I still have to set the headphone mixer control in xfce4-mixer, since Sound Preferences does not allow me to change that slider, and it defaults to ear-bleedingly loud. If I set the connector to either of the other settings (which doesn't appear to do anything useful), Pulseaudio sees the need to set the headphones back up to maximum volume. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-media in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/488513 Title: Headphone output ear-bleedingly loud on Karmic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-media/+bug/488513/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 316835] Re: brasero location box does not work
Maybe it would be alright to just let that go as it is listed as being of "low" importance.
