I'm marking this bug as closed because the Install Card Themes feature
is now working in the latest Ubuntu development release, 11.10 Oneiric
 Ocelot.

For now, you should be able to manually install gnome-games-extra-data
 to get additional themes.

[Bug 393008] Re: [Karmic] power management icon says laptop is connected to power when it isn't

2011-08-30 Thread Girish Adat
Just to add one more observation.

I am facing the problem described in this bug only after a wakeup from
sleep. It is working perfectly just after the boot.

Off-topic: I've been forcefully sleeping my laptop (Toshiba Portege
M900) and waking it up, as a work around to get my fan working, after
every boot. (The fan problem is a long story, better not to explain
here. For more details on that plz visit -
http://lwn.net/Articles/244595/). In short, for me, if the battery
indicator is perfect then fan is not, and vice versa.

Re: [Bug 836945] Re: Screen always goes blank after 10 minutes

2011-08-30 Thread Barry Warsaw
Hi Bryce, thanks very much for looking at this.

On Aug 30, 2011, at 01:56 AM, Bryce Harrington wrote:

Your xorg.conf only specifies glx, but that's loaded by default now.
You should be able to entirely delete your xorg.conf with no impact to
X. (In fact we ship without xorg.conf and recommend you run without
one, unless you actually need it for some reason.)

Not sure how that got there, but indeed, I removed the file and everything
worked just fine.

Second, in your dmesg file there's some aufs crashes; I think those may
be unrelated to this bug, but look worth further investigation.

I think it's unrelated. I do a lot of sbuilds, and I remember seeing some
aufs problems in the past, but hadn't seen them in a while. I'll investigate
that separately.

Re: [Bug 836945] Re: Screen always goes blank after 10 minutes

2011-08-30 Thread Barry Warsaw
On Aug 30, 2011, at 01:32 AM, Bryce Harrington wrote:

It sounds sort of like gnome-settings-daemon is not capturing the
settings properly, so your system is defaulting to 10 minutes. I notice
this in your dmesg which hints perhaps gsd is dying (coincidentally in
some power module):

[22483.782153] gnome-settings-[2178] trap divide error ip:7fdd4a47931b
sp:7fff856edb10 error:0 in libpower.so[7fdd4a46b000+17000]

Indeed, I think this is exactly the problem. xset reported dpms at 600 for
all three values, which is, of course, exactly 10 minutes. I've manually set
these to 3600 and we'll see, but I'm fairly confident this will increase the
screen blank time to 1h. This has to be reset on every reboot.

To the g-s-d maintainers: please let me know if there's anything further I can
do to help you debug the problem.

Thanks Bryce.

[Bug 836942] Re: Webkit Browsers (epiphany) crash on ext js webpages

2011-08-30 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these
instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can
be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the
crash report you wish to submit.
If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with
'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is
the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed
to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug
/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

the gnome-region-panel.desktop includes the OnlyshowIn=GNOME;, so that,
on Unity we show the language selector. But yes, thus we miss the layout
selection, so maybe we want to include that in language-selector? as a
workaround, you can add Unity; to the OnlyShowIn value, so that it's
shown also on Unity

2011-08-30 Thread Martin Pitt
Rodrigo Moya [2011-08-30 14:54 -]:
But yes, thus we miss the layout selection, so maybe we want to
 include that in language-selector?

I don't think we'll have time to implement something as complex as a
keyboard selector in language-selector for oneiric. Also, it doesn't
really fit there, it configures languages, not keyboard layouts. This
should really be in the Keyboard capplet...

Could we display the widget again, and only show the keyboard layout
bits, and rename it from Region and Language (which nobody will look
at for keyboard settings anyway) to Keyboard Layout?

[Bug 631088] Re: Incompatibilty with Windows font Deja Vu Sans 9.9990234375 makes evince menu unreadable

2011-08-30 Thread Andrea B.
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: evince

When the font path contains a directory with a (reported invalid) 'DejaVu
Sans' font, the menu and dialog boxes are unreadable (boxes appear everywhere
instead of letters LANG=fr_FR.utf8).
The font path may contain such a font in a dual boot system when the user has
prepended a Windows Fonts directory to the font path (by linking it to
~/.fonts) and the DejaVu font is installed there (probably by OpenOffice.org
3.2 for Windows).

When the Windows Fonts directory is removed from the font path, evince
  is ok.

No such problem with other applications (Firefox, Gvim, OOo, gedit,
  Inkscape, Gimp).

  Expected behavior
  ---
If the font is really invalid, it should be skipped and a valid one (which in
my case in available in the standard font path) should be loaded instead.

  Diagnostics

  Environment details
  -

This is a dual boot system with Windows 7.
I have my Windows font directory linked in my environment to make all Windows
fonts available in the Ubuntu environment:
-ln -s /media/sda1/Windows/Fonts $HOME/.fonts
-ls $HOME/.fonts/Deja*
+    ln -s /media/sda1/Windows/Fonts $HOME/.fonts
+    ls $HOME/.fonts/Deja*
Note that the file time AND file size of the fonts on the Ubuntu system are
exactly the same as on Windows. However the content differ (checked with 'sum').

[Bug 833441] Re: Online Accounts capplet has no accounts listed

2011-08-30 Thread Rob King
If Ubuntu is going to switch to Thunderbird as the default mail client
in Oneiric, I think we either need to remove the Online Accounts
capplet, or include the necessary infrastructure to allow Thunderbird to
link to Google contacts and calendars. Otherwise, it just appears broken
when a user adds their Google Account information and nothing happens in
Thunderbird.

Also, the VoIP and Messaging Accounts capplet should be removed or
folded into the Online Accounts capplet, IMHO.

[Bug 837420] Re: evolution crashes after i add feed/rss url
