2011-09-04 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package libpeas - 1.1.3-0ubuntu1

---
libpeas (1.1.3-0ubuntu1) oneiric; urgency=low

  [ Martin Pitt ]
  * New upstream release:

- Do not cast pointers to unsigned integers.
  * Drop debian/patches/gint_is_not_gtype, upstream now.
  * debian/control.in: Bump python-gobject-dev build dependency to >= 2.90 as
per upstream configure.ac.
  * debian/control.in: Move valac-0.12 to valac to use 0.14.

  [ Oliver Sauder ]
  * Added peas-gtk vapi file libpeas-gtk-1.0.vapi (LP: #825834)

[Bug 804435] Re: Wallpaper is loaded twice with different alignment by gnome-session and nautilus (Oneiric)

2011-09-04 Thread Alberto Mardegan
@Lucazade: does bug 839610 describe the same behaviour you are seeing?
The "large left margin" you are seeing painted in grey, how many pixels
(approximately) is it wide?

[Bug 841541] [NEW] "num lock is on" warning remains even after num lock is turned off

2011-09-04 Thread Paul Collins
Public bug reported:

After fiddling with Num Lock, I noticed that the lock window claimed it
was still enabled, and yet it is not.

Sequence of events:
* Turn on Num Lock.
* Lock the screen. (On a ThinkPad, I do this by pressing Fn+F2. Whatever
option it is that means "lock the screen immediately", I have it turned on.)
* Tap a key to bring up the screen-locked/enter-password dialog.
* Observe the warning.
* Turn off Num Lock.
* Observe the warning is still there.
* Successfully unlock the screen.
* Lock the screen again.
* Observe the warning is still there.
* [Optional] Unlock the screen. File a bug against gnome-screensaver.

Not related to bug #835649, which concerns showing the warning when Num
Lock is enabled but not otherwise problematic, e.g. when using a "full-
size" (i.e. "has lots of extra keys") keyboard.

** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 777292] Re: Gedit not single instance when started from unity

2011-09-04 Thread Premasagar Rose
I agree with Matt Moen about bumping up the priority. For me, it creates
a very confusing, frustrating workflow when using Ubuntu. I use Gedit
probably more than any other application, and trying to edit files in
one place is impossible when the terminal opens files in one Gedit
instance, Nautilus opens them in another, and Startup Applications opens
them in yet another.

[Bug 841512] [NEW] Hot swapping USB devices is not reflected properly in Sound Settings

2011-09-04 Thread komputes
Public bug reported:

It seems that the selected behavior for oneiric is to auto-switch on
insertion of a USB audio device. Hot swamping USB audio devices causes
individual device-specific sound levels are not restored. After swapping
a a few times, it doesn't switch automatically, even though the usb
device is shown as selected.

Expecting:
-Default behavior to switch to newest device must happen after multiple
insertions
-Switch must be reflected live in Sound Settings
-Per-device volume levels should be saved
-Switching between devices should restore that device's last used level

[Bug 841479] [NEW] Disk Utility Feature: Make Image of Disk

Disk Utility could be a great recovery tool and image maker if the

copy/convert a disk to an image.

[Bug 841332] Re: no more nautilus emblems in oneiric

2011-09-04 Thread Marco Biscaro
It was not installed. Installing it bring emblems back after a
logout/login. Anyway, there is no package that
depends/recommends/suggests ubuntuone-client-gnome. I'm changing the
title and the description according.

** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu)
   Status: New => Invalid

** Summary changed:

- no more nautilus emblems in oneiric
+ ubuntuone-client-gnome is not suggested/recommended by any package

** Description changed:

- Well, title says everything.
+ ubuntuone-client-gnome package (that enable integration with gnome
+ desktop - nautilus emblems, for instance) is not recommended/suggested
+ by any package.

- Running oneiric beta 1, nautilus 3.1.4.
-
- The emblems are very useful to use with Ubuntu One, for example.
+ Probably, ubuntuone-client package should depends/recommends it.

[Bug 841409] [NEW] GEdit is the only choise as Calendar application in Default Applications dialog

2011-09-04 Thread igi
Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu Oneiric (11.10) beta1, opening the Deafult Applications dialog
(System Settings -> System Information), GEdit is selected (and only possible
choice) for Calendar items.
I think this is not expected, since it is not so useful to open calendar data
as standard text).

In Oneiric Thunderbird is default email client. Currently Thunderbird7 beta is
installed, and I noticed the Lightning extension for Calendar is not compatible
with it yet.
Will Thunderbird/Lightining be possible values for Calendar applications?

[Bug 221475] Re: Brightness increases higher than settings

2011-09-04 Thread Jean-Louis Dupond
Seems my patch is not 100% correct.
But upstream will pick this up, so guess this will be fixed in the next sync of
gnome-power-manager from gnome.

the new profile? Is there a chance to reset some thing in the old

[Bug 841315] [NEW] on thinkpad-acpi devices, brightness setting ommits most steps

2011-09-04 Thread ari
Public bug reported:

Brightness changes in very rough steps on some Machines, but only when
there is the gpm-OSD appearing showing the brightness setting. So the
bug appears not when the session showed is locked, but in an active
session or on the login screen the bug appears.

On my machine (thinkpad X60) brightness changes with two steps between
min and max - these steps are different depending on wether you go up or
down hough. So you can hit 6 settings. I think the firmware is capable I
think 8, surely indepent on wether set higher or lower.

This is found on an X60 Tablet, an Lenovo Netbook (sorry, not sure which
device exactly) and an X201 Tablet. This leads me to believe this is an
issue with the thinkpad-acpi kernel module, which has an proprietary
interface for the screen brightness.
