[Bug 832007] Re: Don't display in "Startup Applications" should be reverted
There are hacks to remove bluetooth utterly. The OP perhaps wants to remove bluetooth on his computer entirely, but the option of turning bluetooth off by default should exist. Bluetooth is something that should not be on except when needed, for safety reasons (though its state on Ubuntu is not visible by default). Also, some users do not use it, or use it rarely, so the process should not eat CPU resources unnecessarily. tl;dr version: The option to turn bluetooth off by default should exist. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-bluetooth in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/832007 Title: Don't display in "Startup Applications" should be reverted To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-bluetooth/+bug/832007/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 878767] Re: No GUI option to change week-starting day
Just a couple of things. 1. This is a really small thing that should be easy to fix. I don't think it really requires that kind of debate if there are users requesting it. 2. [Bug 742544] Re: Launcher is shown on the wrong screen in some multi-monitor setups
If you're using the NVIDIA proprietary driver then the primary monitor (the one the launcher appears on) is chosen by the "TwinViewXineramaInfoOrder" option in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, which I think you change by ticking the primary monitor box in the NVIDIA control panel. This is marked incomplete because the upstream folks marked the upstream report as such, and the bug tracker automatically carries changes that occur upstream over. [Bug 894591] [NEW] Typeahead functionality involving mouse scroll is broken
Public bug reported: Description:Ubuntu 11.10 Release:11.10 nautilus: Installed: 1:3.2.1-0ubuntu3.1 Candidate: 1:3.2.1-0ubuntu3.1 Expected behaviour: - Open the directory that contains files with names starting with a similar character/string in nautilus. Example: abc, file1, file2, file3, xyz. - To select “file3” using typeahead you can either type explicit, unequivocal string (“file3” in this case, as the digit distinguishes file in this directory) or type common part and USE SCROLL TO NAVIGATE THROUGH THE RESULTS (in this case, e.g. “f”, which makes you able to scroll from “file1” to “file3”; “abc” and “xyz” are excluded as they don’t match) -- each scroll down selects next available item, each scroll up selects every previous item; I do not know how to say it more clearly. Actual behaviour: - Open the directory that contains files with names starting with a similar character/string in nautilus. Example: abc, file1, file2, file3, xyz. - Type in “f”. - Scrolling through the results doesn’t work UNLESS you place mouse pointer over the typeahead box. You have been subscribed to a public bug: Host configuration: VirtualBox 4.1.4 – Mac OS X 10.7.2 Guest configuration: Ubuntu 11.10 2 processors – 1 GB RAM 128 MB video memory – 3D acceleration enabled The VirtualBox guest additions were installed through "Additional Drivers". After rebooting, all the UI is visible including the login screen and the Unity interface, but when any application is opened, its window is invisible. Notes: When the virtual machine is logged in with "Ubuntu 2D", I can run "compiz --replace" and get compiz working properly. The problem occurred on both a VM upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10 and a fresh install of 11.10 (used for screencasts below).
