Re: [Bug 938529] Re: About a display of Bar of a calculator and the left

2012-02-25 Thread Blackmagic666
I am sorry to have become late.
The more general one regarded calculators as there being many
opportunities to use very much, and they were allowed to connect.
[Can this be reproduced? ]
An icon display is lost and a procedure does not understand the bug
which can do a blank.
However, after using a calculator, the icon of a calculator sometimes
often increases.
It increases by [it always displays] and high probability on a launcher.
[If it becomes so, what kind of specific step do we have to take in
order to rest this bug? ]
Since the affair here does not have myself, and knowledge besides
programming, it is not stood to a role.
I am sorry.
It laughs.
It is main and I am allowed to utilize me ubuntu.
I am very thankful to you of development.
Long sentence and poor writing I am sorry.

fixed the issue with the patch no applying to trunk I think I may have made the

[Bug 847814] Re: the gnome-session dialog suspend option doesn't lock the screen

2012-02-25 Thread David Foerster
My screen disables after 10 and the shell locks after 30 minutes as configured
in the settings. When using the suspend functionality in the g-s user menu, I
experience the same symptoms as
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1007305#p1007305.
If I do however make the changes in the patch, everything works as I expect. I
don't know though, if this behaves correctly™ in other use cases.

[Bug 941236] [NEW] Evolution email won't send/recieve emails since last update

2012-02-25 Thread Jocelyn Papprill
Public bug reported:

Using Ubuntu 11.04 - the Natty Narwhal - released in April 2011 and supported
until October 2012.
Evolution version: 2.32.2-0ubuntu7 (evolution)

I expected the email system to work as it did before 7 Feb 2012 when I

Now, when I bring up a compose message form it does not show a place for
email address nor subject line. I can still read my contacts lists & all

[Bug 941229] [NEW] deadlock: GStreamer-WARNING **: wrong STREAM_LOCK count 0

2012-02-25 Thread Jacob Peddicord
Public bug reported:

Banshee and Totem both suffer from a very annoying bug where they will
lock up when trying to interact with them while media is playing. It's
hard to describe, but here are the main points:

* When the application locks up, "GStreamer-WARNING **: wrong STREAM_LOCK count
0" is output.
* I have tested this with quite a diverse MP3 library.
* This happens **most frequently** using gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3.
* This happens less frequently when using lame/mad from
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly.
* I am unable to reproduce this issue with OGG/Vorbis audio.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install gstreamer0.10-fluendo-mp3, as it is easiest to trigger the bug
(works with gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly as well, just not as often).
2. Open any MP3 in Totem from the terminal.
3. Seek madly for 5-10 seconds or until it freezes. (Sometimes the freeze is
instantaneous, sometimes it takes a few seconds of trying.)
4. Observe the GStreamer warning message and deadlock.

This has been *very* difficult to pin down, as it happens seemingly at
random. I'm attaching a backtrace of Totem's state during the freeze.
Some points of note:

* The "GStreamer-CRITICAL" message is unrelated to the freezing from what I can
tell, as it doesn't show up during other traces I've done.
* ^C is where it froze.
* #10 is libgstflump3dec.so -- could not find debugging symbols for this, but
as it happens with the other MP3 decoders as well, I don't think the problem
lies in the MP3 plugins themselves.

Something I've noticed while testing this: it appears to freeze more often
around when threads are created/destroyed.
Let me know if there's any more information I can provide.

[Bug 941208] [NEW] Buddies online from a mobile device are shown with a LANDLINE phone icon

2012-02-25 Thread Jonathan Rothwell
Public bug reported:

See screenshot.

For ages, on seeing this symbol, I assumed it meant "able to receive an
audio call." I fail to see any situation in which a person could use an
IM client from a phone like the one depicted in the icon, bar a
jailbroken Amstrad e-m@ailer.

A generic mobile phone icon, preferably a generic iPhone- or BlackBerry-
style smartphone, would be clearer and more accurate, and reduce the
potential for confusion.

[Bug 572342] Re: quadrapassel won't start: seg fault

2012-02-25 Thread angus73
Reopened because it still affects me in Ubuntu 11.10.
Here are the information you ask:

1. Specific steps or actions I took that caused me to encounter the problem:
run /usr/games/quadrapassel

2. the behavior I expected
have the game running

3. the behavior I actually encountered (in as much detail as possible)
Terminal outputs "errore di segmentazione" (a.k.a. "segmentation fault" in
english), the usual command prompt appears and nothing else happens

Let me know if I have to provide any other information

[Bug 711900] Re: A part of the image is under the scrollbar

2012-02-25 Thread Felix Riemann
The problem was that the scrollbars limit values were not updated
correctly when the size of the display area changed. So you could either
not scroll far enough (like here) or you could scroll too far and would
produce garbage (the more commonly experienced variant, bugs #653920,
#768197).

That is a known bug of eog 2.32.0 and was fixed for 2.32.1 and 3.0.

The corresponding bug on GNOME Bugzilla would be number 631710.

[Bug 937347] Re: gnome-session restarts when I try to play videos

2012-02-25 Thread matthieu vidal
I have this problem too with my new webcam (I bought it today : logitech
C270).

The unity or gnome-shell or xfce session is killed very very fast each
time I want to read the webM videos that I've recorded with cheese.
reading wmv videos kill session too.

Trying to capture a video using vlc 2 ... or starting guvcview (1.5.2)
kill the session immediately. Cheese is the only one which work.

The only way to read the webm videos is to use firefox 12 beta 4 (HTML5
reader).

Sorry ... I can't tell you if it's a regression cause I did not use my
previous webcam during few months.

[Bug 861045] Re: Empathy shows Yahoo users as "Available" rather than actual status

2012-02-25 Thread John Williamson
My contacts who run yahoo messenger in windows set their accounts to
show "idle" after so many minutes. Empathy continues to show their
status as "Available". Pidgin correctly shows them as "idle" plus the
number of minutes idle. They can select their "Busy" and "Invisible"
statuses and those do display correctly in Empathy. It appears to be
only the idle status from Yahoo that does not register correctly with
Empathy.

[Bug 941018] [NEW] gvfsd-trash needs too much cpu

2012-02-25 Thread Nokir
Public bug reported:

I am copying files from one external harddisk to another one with rsync.
When rsync is running, gvfsd-trash needs about 20% of cpu. I tried to
copy with thunar, in that case gvfsd-trash needs about 40% of cpu.

Source drive is luks/ext3 connected via firewire.
Destination drive is ntfs connected via usb.

[Bug 737679] Re: topics in rooms do not update or sometimes display

2012-02-25 Thread John S. Gruber
I cannot reproduce this problem in Empathy 3.3.5.

The problem appears to be addressed in
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23151 in upstream
Telepathy, and corrected with
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=658542 in Empathy. Marking as
such.

As lernid uses the older python bindings lacking the new interfaces
added in Telepathy, rather than using introspection to find to
Telepathy, it is tougher to fix there.

[Bug 803992] Re: Natty update introduced crasher in xorg

2012-02-25 Thread Michael Sallaway
This also affects me, in oneiric -- in my logs, I get the following with
autologin enabled:

 gdm-simple-slave[1382]: CRITICAL: gdm_session_direct_get_username: assertion
`session != NULL' failed
gdm-binary[1106]: WARNING: GdmDisplay: display lasted 1.024504 seconds

[Bug 936052] Re: File browser hangs after a while

2012-02-25 Thread ubby
I have tried to make a backtrace. It wasn't so difficult than I thought.

I can't get any further than step 4 on this page
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace
Nautilus turn black when I right click a file and the rest of the system also
hangs so it isn't possible to further with the steps.

[Bug 931802] Re: /usr/bin/rsvg disappeared

2012-02-25 Thread Scott Howard
Symlink won't work, it takes different arguments. The rsvg command has
been deprecated for a long time. I'm inclined to follow upstream and
debian on this one and not do anything to the precise package since rsvg
was a kludge to begin with. It doesn't really make sense to write a new
kludge to implement an old kludge which in turn was written to implement
an even older tool.

[Bug 682788] Re: Global menu is not ergonomical on large screens

2012-02-25 Thread dstaubsauger
"fix commited" is not the appropriate status when you have a feature
request for one feature and implement a different one. I'd still like to
see an option for having global menu for maximzed windows and a normal
menu (not lim where i have to click an extra button to open the menu)
for the non-maximized windows.
