[Bug 952056] [NEW] Gnome Image viewer (eog) alters colors in some images

2012-03-11 Thread mediterran81
Public bug reported:

GNOME image viewer modifies the RGB balance in some images. (Adds more
RED).

opened by eye of gnome, this latter changes its color definition and
becomes almost violet/blue).

[Bug 819156] Re: regression: totem do not disables screensaver

2012-03-11 Thread Boaz Dodin
I don't think it's relevant to totem.

I am on Kubuntu 11.10 64bit, KDE 4.8.1
kubuntu-low-fat-settings installed.
All power saving and screen saver options disabled.

It's looks like something enabling PDMS, as even after disabling it by
sh file with xset -dpms, executed on every startup, it returned back
after about 2 hours to enabled state.

[Bug 952079] [NEW] terminal always comes up with menu bar, regardless of preference selected

2012-03-11 Thread skquinn
Public bug reported:

Just upgraded to oneiric, and now I find gnome-terminal *always* comes
up with the menu bar, even though I specifically tell it not to. I
frequently use the Alt-F and Alt-B Emacs-like shortcuts when using a
terminal, which conflicts horribly with having the menu bar up as the
menu will intercept Alt-F. With the menus turned off in profile, I
actually have to toggle the menus *twice* to get rid of them. This is
ridiculous.

[Bug 952084] [NEW] Cannot set solid color background when background fading is disabled

2012-03-11 Thread Hernando Torque
Public bug reported:

When I try to set a solid color as desktop background with background
fading disabled, all I get is a black background, no matter what color I
choose in the control center/System Settings. The same works fine if I
either enable background fading or use a vertical or horizontal 'color-
shading-type'.

TEST CASE:
1. Press Super, type 'Appearance', and open the result.
2. Make sure you have a background image selected.
3. Disable background fading from the command line:

gsettings set org.gnome.nautilus.desktop background-fade false

4. In the 'Appearance' dialog, try to set a solid color other than
black.

RESULT:
* No matter what color is set, the background will always stay black.

To go back to the working case, run the following from the command line:

gsettings set org.gnome.nautilus.desktop background-fade true

[Bug 952108] [NEW] [Precise] Nautilus: memory leak

2012-03-11 Thread Matthieu Baerts
Public bug reported:

Hello,

It's just to note that Nautilus has memory leaks with the latest
version: with an uptime of 10 hours, Nautilus uses 420Mo.

It's maybe interesting to know that:
 * I'm using a slideshow and not one single image as background.
 * I opened Nautilus in directories where big files were being downloaded (and
Nautilus regularly refreshed their preview)
 * I made a few actions (like opening directories with a lot of files, moving
files, creating directories, extracting tarball, etc.)
 * I'm using a few plugins like nautilus-dropbox, nautilus-image-converter, etc.
 * I've bookmarks with special characters like 'Vidéos' and 'Téléchargements'.

I hope it will help you to fix this bug ;)

[Bug 952126] [NEW] Some wireless networks are grayed out, though they are connectable. Ubuntu 12.04

2012-03-11 Thread deck...@gmail.com
Public bug reported:

I installed Ubuntu 12.04 (nonpae kernel version, downloadedin Ubuntu forum).
Description:Ubuntu precise (development branch)
Release:12.04

Wireless card is ipw2200

Some of the connections in the list, which appears on click on the wireless
icon in the menu top right, are grayed out. I cannot click on them to enter
password and connect. When I select Edit connections fromthe same menu, and
enter name and password manually, this works OK.
Had troubles connecting to wireless during install - after selecting a wireless
and entering password, clicking connect does nothing. Had to chose no updates
during install to be able to continue

[Bug 952189] [NEW] problem with detecting default subtitles and language track in mkv file

2012-03-11 Thread Ivan Akulov
Public bug reported:

System: Ubuntu 11.10 x86.

Totem selects the English language track and the Russian subtitles
automatically when I play any mkv file. My system locale is Russian. Moreover,
it doesn't save my new choice when I close and open a file again.
I guess the standard behavior should select the language track matching with
system locale and disable subtitles.

May be this problem happens with other file formats too.

[Bug 952259] [NEW] syncing to android, resource not found popup cannot be suppressed

2012-03-11 Thread Michiel Dethmers
Public bug reported:

I'm syncing to my android phone, and it continuously brings up a popup box
saying resource not found. Now, that's probably some other problem, but it
would be nice to be able to stop the popup from appearing and read cause of the
error in the error log instead. Having to click the OK button many times, is a
bit tedious.

[Bug 952314] [NEW] CMapCache::getCMap SEGV with 'Creusage_-_Tunnel_sous_la_Manche.pdf'

2012-03-11 Thread Paul Sladen
Public bug reported:

The following PDF reliably causes xpdf and Evince to crash/hang:

  http://www.gramme.be/unite9/pmwiki/uploads/PrGC0708/Creusage_-
_Tunnel_sous_la_Manche.pdf

Even when the file is split up into separate pages using 'pdftk burst',
all pages still cause the crash, including the smallest one at 11kB; the
crash is likely related to the loading of one of the embedded fonts.

Ideally even if Poppler can't handle a particular font, it should not
result in a crash.

[Bug 885730] Re: keyboard layout indicator reacts incorrectly

2012-03-11 Thread charles
So, seb128 asked me a week ago to take a look at this and I've now
reached it on my TODO list.

I'm new to this issue and, since so many people seem interested in this
ticket, it made me wonder if someone could help walk me through this
issue: The steps in comment #4 look like a good starting point, but step
three says ensure that the layout is us -- how is that done, exactly?
And how would I manually set an arbitrary window's (not just a
terminal's) keyboard layout?

In Gnome Control Center Keyboard Layout, it appears whatever
language I move to the top of the list becomes the active layout. This
appears to be applied on a global basis, rather than a per-window one.
(It's also not reflected in Ubuntu's keyboard indicator ;) Is this
accurate?
