OK, so the machinery seems to work. Can you please attach your ~/.xsession-errors, or have a look yourself, searching for lid, suspend, power, etc.? It might have a relevant error message. If not, it's worth trying this: killall gnome-settings-daemon # do it two or three times until it doesn't auto-respawn gnome-settings-daemon --debug 21 | tee /tmp/gsd.log then close the lid, open it again, Control-C it, and attach /tmp/gsd.log. [Bug 954824] [NEW] artist information pane is too large and cannot be sized smaller
Public bug reported: The pane/window in rhythmbox which shows related artist information (see attached screenshot, the pane is highlighted in pink/red) often resizes itself to be too large. While the pane can be dragged left to make it larger, it often isn't possible to drag the bar right to make it smaller. Not sure what other helpful information I can give... It isn't always too large, sometimes it is possible to resize it so that it is quite small, but then on a later song it resizes itself (presumably to fit new content) and becomes too large, and can't be made smaller again. [Bug 939450] Re: ubiquity crashed with TypeError: argument of type 'NoneType' is not iterable in ubi-partman.py
Reassigning back to Ubiquity. The GtkListStore documentation makes it quite clear (section Atomic Operations) that list insertion is not atomic, and that there might be signals with None/NULL values in between. So I think for robustness this ought to be fixed in ubiquity. That said, I'm happy to change the pygobject overrides to be atomic, as that was the recommended approach in the documentation anyway. So if you want to wait for another day or two, and I get this in soon enough, you can get away with leaving the code as it is. ** Package changed: ubiquity (Ubuntu Precise) = pygobject (Ubuntu Precise) ** Changed in: pygobject (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided = Wishlist ** Changed in: pygobject (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: pygobject (Ubuntu Precise) Assignee: (unassigned) = Martin Pitt (pitti) ** Changed in: pygobject (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Wishlist = Medium ** Project changed: gtk = pygobject -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to pygobject in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/939450 Title: ubiquity crashed with TypeError: argument of type 'NoneType' is not iterable in ubi-partman.py To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/pygobject/+bug/939450/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 954918] [NEW] Missing Server input box for Sametime accounts
Public bug reported: Hi, It is no longer possible to connect to sametime server because there is no Server input box undir Sametime accounts. This happened recently and according to a freedesktop.org bug report this happened when libpurple was upgraded from 2.10 to 2.10.1. Here is the explanation from the freedesktop.org bug report: With the latest version of libpurple (2.10.1) a change was made to the Sametime protocol: + Sametime: - Separate username and server when adding new Sametime accounts Although at first this seems harmless and only affecting the pidgin client, it seems that telepathy-haze can not handle this separation. When a new account is created for Sametime, the server details are no longer displayed. Also an old account (that has all the details already) no longer works due to the same issue. Adding the missing parameter to the accounts.cfg file (mission-control) causes that this parameter is ignored and removed. Returning to libpurple 2.10.0 resolves the issue and the server can be identified again when the account is created. - Raymond Wooninck https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44631 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: empathy 3.3.90.2-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-18.29-generic 3.2.9 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-18-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 1.94.1-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Mar 14 11:02:27 2012 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat - Release amd64 (20101007) ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: empathy UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2012-03-12 (1 days ago) ** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/954918 Title: Missing Server input box for Sametime accounts To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/954918/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I had a closer look at the overrides in pygobject, and it's quite some effort to rewrite them using the atomic API. I can't guarantee that I'll have them ready this week. So you could either use Gtk.ListStore.insert_with_valuesv() yourself instead of using the override API, or make the signal handlers cope with None rows. ** No longer affects: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) ** No longer affects: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu Precise) ** Also affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu Precise) Milestone: None = ubuntu-12.04-beta-2 ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu Precise) Assignee: (unassigned) = Stéphane Graber (stgraber) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to pygobject in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/939450 Title: ubiquity crashed with TypeError: argument of type 'NoneType' is not iterable in ubi-partman.py To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/pygobject/+bug/939450/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 761037] Re: Evolution failed to properly migrate Local Contacts during 2.32 (Natty) Upgrade
I can confirm this in a migration to 2.3.2 from 2.28.3 on my Ubuntu 10.04 system. The files in the old .evolution tree were converted/moved to the new .local/share/evolution tree but only the first local Address Book worked. To sum up, only the first On This Computer address book sources entry was converted correctly with the relative URI, the remaining Address Books still had the file path to the old .evolution file path left in their definitions. Manually removing the old uri=file:. entries using the gconf- editor on the /apps/evolution/addressbook/sources key fixed the problem and then allowed the data in those extra Address Books to appear. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/761037 Title: Evolution failed to properly migrate Local Contacts during 2.32 (Natty) Upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evolution/+bug/761037/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
