[Bug 984596] [NEW] problèmes de son

2012-04-17 Thread Alain Legrand
Public bug reported:

Bonjour,

[Bug 854619] Re: gtk-logout-helper crashes and says it doesn't have enough free memory even though there are 7GB of free memory available

2012-04-17 Thread Martin Pitt
Apport shows this error message if there is no core dump in the .crash
report. The usual reason for this is not enough memory, but it could have
gone wrong due to other reasons. Can you please attach
/var/log/apport.log?

[Bug 984560] [NEW] window title does not change when switching pictures using the left and right arrows unless you switch focus to another window

2012-04-17 Thread Matt Fischer
Public bug reported:

If you open a folder full of pictures and double click on one to open it
in shotwell, and then move to a different photo(s) using the left and
right arrows, the window title does not change. This is annoying
because I don't know which photo I'm looking at anymore after clicking
the left and right arrow.

Edit: The window title DOES change if I select another window or open
the dash and then come back to shotwell, so I suspect it is changing and
simply not being updated. I discovered this when I was trying to make a
screencap of this behavior.

[Bug 980134] Re: AltGr key doesn't work properly in gnome-terminal when Maori is in the keyboard selection list.

2012-04-17 Thread Peter Belew
Today I booted a beta2 version of 11.10 Oneiric on my Dell netbook, and
checked keyboard behavior regarding this bug. I had the US and ES
(Spanish) layouts installed, with and without the Maori layout in the
list. The behavior was the same as with the 12.04 beta2 version
installed in other systems: AltGr combinations produced an error
character if the Maori character was in the list, when using gnome-
terminal. The ES layout worked properly when the Maori layout was not in
the list.

The same thing happens when using Linux Mint, which is based on 11.10
Oneiric.

Again, this did not affect GUI programs.

[Bug 984449] [NEW] Palimpsest doesn't allow precisely-sized partitions

2012-04-17 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Palimpsest doesn't allow precisely-sized partitions. I need to be able
to specify the size of a new partition at creation time in Bytes (not
MiB, GiB, or TiB).

Not that it matters, but the reason I need to do so is because I have an
existing RAID5, and I wanted to make a new partition on a new drive to
add to the RAID, and doing so automatically (by selecting the RAID in
palimpsest and trying to add the unformatted drive) doesn't work (the
partition size it creates is too small), and I cannot do it manually,
because the slider input field is too coarse. I need to be able to enter
the partition size manually, using my choice of units.

** Affects: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 973361] Re: zenity crashed with SIGSEGV in zenity_tree_dialog_response()

2012-04-17 Thread Kazi Shahnoor Ashraf
I've installed a software using following instruction to use Bangali
language to type:

1. Add my Launchpad PPA to your software sources:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kaustav-dasmodak/kido
2. Update package information:
sudo apt-get update
3. Install scim-avro:
sudo apt-get install scim-avro
The package will pull scim, im-switch and scim-canna as dependencies. After
installation,
you need to select SCIM as default input method. Type this in terminal:
im-switch -c
and select 'scim' from the list. If that does not work, you may need to use
'scim-bridge' to
get Avro working.

Whenever I try with "Input Method Switcher" it starts reporting like
this.

[Bug 878993] Re: x.org lockup after dragging archived file to desktop

2012-04-17 Thread kjoe
I think that file-roller is not the main problem. And here is the reason
why:

I tried to reproduce the bug on a different test system. Downloaded
linuxmint-12-lxde-cd-32bit.iso and started it in virtualbox.
Linux Mint LXDE uses a combination of pcmanfm and ( instead of file-roller)
the xarchiver as its default archive manager.

When I first dragged a file from within an archive to the desktop, xarchiver
crashed (without freezing the system). Then I reopened the archive and this
time the dnd action was successful.
Then next time --> crash. Next time --> success. Next time --> crash. Next
time --> success.

So, every other time, the dnd action crashes the archiver program.

This behaviour is reproducable by file-roller as well as the xarchiver,
which IMHO rules out file-roller as the cause for the bug.

Was your precise up to date when the crash occurred on the 15th ?
We did release a fix through pulseaudio on the 11th which resolved a crash that
produced a stack trace very similar to that.

[Bug 963704] Re: [xsettings]: gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in translate_int_int()

2012-04-17 Thread Erick Brunzell
Duplicate bug 981355 appeared only once after installing 'gnome-panel',
'indicator-applet',& 'indicator-applet-session', then logging out,
choosing classic (no effects) and initially logging into the classic DE.
All subsequent boots have been error free. If it were not marked as a
duplicate I'd be tempted to mark it invalid.
