Can confirm that this bug still appears in Ubuntu 12.04. Have noticed that using Advanced Settings (gnome-tweak-tool) to set "Have file manager handle the desktop" to Off reverts control of the desktop background to Compiz, so if you have a background set in CompizConfig Settings Manager's Wallpaper plugin it displays in the correct manner, i.e. tiled from the top left corner across both screens. However, doing so also disables icons and the right-click menu on the desktop. Getting this error now with Xubuntu 12.04. When trying to open the Network icon in Thunar (gvfs-backends is installed): Failed to open "Windows Network." DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.InvalidArgs: Mountpoint Already registered. This seems to happen only when trying to connect to Windows shares. Connecting to the other machine running Xubuntu does not yield this error. Unwanted characters at the end of link in Evolution email. Inbuilt parsing of hyperlinks in a manner similar to that which is used by a spell checker. This is a matter related to the one reported above. I frequently cut from a browser a URL and place it in my email for the convenience of my recipients. I may then type a space character end the sentence with a full stop or punctuate the sentence with a comma. At this point, Evolution's email text editor includes these characters into the URL. The consequence of this is that when the email recipient clicks on the URL they receive a html 404 error from the web-server and many every-day users are alarmed by this. Many also do not know to try to trim off trailing spurious characters so as to make the link, now displayed in their web-browser, legal. I would like to suggest there should be a built-in parser for URL links within the Evolution email text editor and when there are trailing characters or other characters that are not legal, they should be removed. If a person wants to put at the end of a URL characters that would typically generate a 404 error, then there is a need for there to be a provision within the editor for the author to indicate that atypical requirement by, for example, putting the link within quotation marks. Went offline, cleared the logs then used the indicator to change to available and still no auth client option. See attached Screenshot. Did this 4 times, but still no auth client logs. What I do see is a constant warning in the logs and the CLI output about a persona store that cannot be found. Other thing to note is that I did clear the logs everytime, but when scanning through them I find there are time entries from before I cleared the logs. Public bug reported: In theory I should be able to set xdg-user-dirs DESKTOP=Documents/Desktop which happens to be how Windows stores it's desktop files. Then mount (I use pam_mount) Documents as a smb share. This works about half of the time, assumably a race condition between mounting the share and setting xgd user dirs. Half the time Desktop defaults to Home instead of where it was set to. My issue is that my system and/or Telepathy will log me into Facebook and Gtalk automatically, but not the AIM network. In order to use AIM in Empathy I have to go to the Edit > Accounts screen to fix the problem. Once there if I disable my AIM account and then enable it again, it will log me in. Once I do that it seems to stay logged in. This seems to have gotten worse on 12.04 using Gnome Classic. I have my indicators on the bottom-right. Before, if the indicator menu had to change size (for example a new wireless network was detected while the indicator was open), it wouldn't resize right, but it would show scroll arrows at the top/bottom. Clicking the arrows would force the indicator menu to resize itself correctly. However in 12.04 those arrows don't work any more. My Dropbox indicator menu is now completely invisible because it didn't resize right and the arrows don't work; I can't click on Banshee in the sound menu because it resized with the volume on top but the Banshee controls below the panel. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 (recently upgraded), and I am also experiencing this sudden-death-bug. It happened already in 11.10(fresh installed), and on various other systems, with completely different hardware. One is a Lenovo E-525 with a AMD APU (A4-3300M), the other one ist a Levovo IdeaPad S10e, Intel Atom & Intel GMA. Another one is a Intel Celeron with a nVidia-Graphics. So the bug is certainly neither platform, nor version-dependant. ahah, the key is the 'fallback' bits in the debug output.. that would suggest that libwacom doesn't know about the device, therefore g-s-d doesn't know it's supposed to be a builtin device (info which should come from the libwacom data). Also affects me, but not for every appointment. It only affects appointments of the next week. Now it's Thursday. Events for tomorrow and Saturday are displayed correctly. But Monday’s appointments are displayed one day prior, as Sunday's appointments. Public bug reported: I have the "evince" PDF reader installed but it doesn't appear to register a handler for "application/pdf" in /etc/mailcap (via update- mime). This result in "evince" not being used by some applications that rely on /etc/mailcap for finding out which application to use for which MIME types. The application I noticed this with was the Gnus MUA inside Emacs, but there may be others. Gnus falls back to an internal default of "gv" which fails because I didn't have that installed. Michał: As Jon also mentioned it is "half working" so I don't think the keyboard layout and the other information you asked are important. However I'm using Hungarian keyboard layout and the key above tab is 0 (zero).
