[Bug 1013171] Re: Many package hooks not ported to python3
This bug was fixed in the package mdadm - 3.2.5-1ubuntu1 --- mdadm (3.2.5-1ubuntu1) quantal; urgency=low * Merge from Debian testing. (LP: #920324) Remaining changes: - Call checks in local-premount to avoid race condition with udev and opening a degraded array. - d/initramfs/mdadm-functions: Record in /run when boot-degraded question has been asked so that it is only asked once - pass --test to mdadm to enable result codes for degraded arrays. - debian/control: we need udev and util-linux in the right version. We also remove the build dependency from quilt and docbook-to-man as both are not used in Ubuntus mdadm. - debian/initramfs/hook: kept the Ubuntus version for handling the absence of active raid arrays in /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf - debian/initramfs/script.local-top.DEBIAN, debian/mdadm-startall, debian/mdadm.raid.DEBIAN: removed. udev does its job now instead. - debian/mdadm-startall.sgml, debian/mdadm-startall.8: documentation of unused startall script - debian/mdadm.config, debian/mdadm.postinst - let udev do the handling instead. Resolved merge conflict by keeping Ubuntu's version. - debian/mdadm.postinst, debian/mdadm.config, initramfs/init-premount: boot-degraded enablement; maintain udev starting of RAID devices; init-premount hook script for the initramfs, to provide information at boot - debian/mkconf.in is the older mkconf. Kept the Ubuntu version. - debian/rules: Kept Ubuntus version for installing apport hooks, not installing un-used startall script. - debian/install-rc, check.d/_numbers, check.d/root_on_raid: Ubuntu partman installer changes - debian/presubj: Dropped this unused bug reporting file. Instead use source_mdadm.py act as an apport hook for bug handling. - d/p/debian-changes-3.1.4-1+8efb9d1ubuntu4: mdadm udev rule incrementally adds mdadm member when detected. Starting such an array in degraded mode is possible by mdadm -IRs. Using mdadm -ARs without stopping the array first does nothing when no mdarray-unassociated device is available. Using mdadm -IRs to start a previously partially assembled array through incremental mode. Keeping the mdadm -ARs for assembling arrays which were for some reason not assembled through incremental mode (i.e through mdadm's udev rule). * Additional Ubuntu changes: - debian/initramfs/local-premount: add call wait_for_udev to wait a little longer for RAID devices to appear (LP: #942106) * Dropped Ubuntu changes: - Build udeb with -O2 on ppc64, working around a link error. Builds fine without it on debian. - rename debian/mdadm.vol_id.udev to debian/mdadm.mdadm-blkid.udev so that the rules file ends up with a more reasonable name. debian/rules changes for adding ubuntu's udev rule corresponding to mdadm. As we are now using 'upstream' udev rules see 3.2.3-2ubuntu2. * Changes to Ubuntu changes: - debian/source_mdadm.py: make apport hook python 2 and 3 compatible (LP: #1013171). * New upstream release closes this bugs: - mdadm --detail --scan segfaults during update-initramfs (LP: #969384) -- Dmitrijs LedkovsFri, 15 Jun 2012 15:31:59 +0100 ** Changed in: mdadm (Ubuntu Quantal) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1013171 Title: Many package hooks not ported to python3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/1013171/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1001578] Re: Nautilus on SSD is slower than on external HDD
I have had the same problem with a new install and fully updated 12.04 as of yestarday. I was using a OCZ Vertex 4 128GB SSD (with new firmware 1.4.1.3). I just ended up imaging the whole disk over to a normal HDD and its much better now. Just as a few side notes, I was using it in a older HP desktop (5800 I think) that does not support AHCI, but it was a brand new SSD, never been used before, so it should of been running better then a HDD... especially this older 80GB one. [Bug 1016581] [NEW] odb file extension should be associated with LibreOffice Base instead Archive Manager
Public bug reported: 1. Create a new database file (foo.odb) using LibreOffice Base. 2. Close LibreOffice. 3. Open foo.odb via dash home / recent files. Since the odb extension is associated with Archive Manager (alias File Roller) as a default, I got a nice error at this point. [Bug 1016577] [NEW] search is done on the left column rather than the folder contents
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a Nautilus window 2. On the left column, click on a disk on the top-left, under "Devices". The contents of the disk are shown on the right 3. Start typing Expected: search should be done in the contents of the directory, on the right Observed: search is done within the left column. Additionally: 4. Click inside the window on the right, where the contents are being displayed, but click on the empty part, not on a particular item 5. Start typing - Expected: at least NOW, the contents should be searched - Observed: search is STILL done within the left column, until you click some file. Searching the left column is mostly useless and I wonder whether one may _ever_ want to search the left column; however, it's just one more possibility, so why not. However, when you have clicked on a disk unit and the contents have been displayed, focus, or whatever determines the default place where search will occur when typing, should definitely be on the contents on the right by default. Also, clicking within one of the two areas should be enough to switch on which one search will be done, it should not be necessary to select a particular item so change focus. [Bug 987220] Re: System does not power off reliably when "Shut Down" chosen from GUI
@ Stefan I won't count my chickens before they hatch ... but removing the nvidia driver seems to solve the problem. I started and restarted my notebook very often after switching to the generic driver. I can't believe it. I will keep on testing. And I also will test new drivers. [Bug 974342] Re: internet radio stream stops after every song
I have the same problem as described by David. Rhythmbox stops after having played the first song on the "Absolute Radio 90s" radio. I start the radio again (double click) and it will play for a few more minutes after which it stops again. This time I can't start the radio again and I'll receive errors like: "Playback ErrorService Unavailable". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/974342 Title: internet radio stream stops after every song To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/974342/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
