[Bug 1005729] Re: gnome-terminal resizes to max height when mousing over gnome panel
I'm experiencing this bug too. The deciding factor as to which windows move and which don't, when I mouse-over the launchers on gnome-panel, appears to be whether that window has at any point in the past had an overlap outside of the screen struts, ie it has been anywhere that a newly created or maximised window could not be. So if I drag a window halfway off the bottom of the screen, or a few pixels underneath a panel, even if I drag it back, it will then move around randomly whenever I mouse-over the launchers on gnome-panel. It's kinda weird. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1005729 Title: gnome-terminal resizes to max height when mousing over gnome panel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/1005729/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

It hit g_return_val_if_fail (TP_IS_ACCOUNT (account), NULL); in empathy_tp_chat_new(). In that case indeed NULL channel is returned and no error is provided. This is because tp_connection_get_account() returns NULL because the TpAccount does not know its Connection yet. This is because in HandleChannels we create both TpAccount and TpConnection objects but we need to wait for TpAccount to prepare CORE before it calls _tp_connection_set_account(). This crash does not happen when empathy-chat is already started because empathy-chat loads a full Folks aggregator, so it has the time to prepare CORE on all TpAccount before HandleChannel happens. I think TpBaseClient should prepare TpAccount and TpConnection before creating the TpChannel. I think it is reasonable to consider that TpChannel's constructor assert that its TpConnection is already prepared (atm it doesn't, TpChannel even prepare CORE on its connection as part of TpChannel's CORE feature). [Bug 914578] Re: nautilus failed retrieve samba shared folders from windows 12.04
I am able to connect to a windows share drive, i.e., in nautilus, typing smb://zeus gives me the following error: "Could not display "smb://zeus/". Error failed to retrieve share list from server. Please select another viewer and try again. while the following works: smb://zeus/D (where D is the name of the share) . Unable to browse share drives available for a particular host. This I could do on my Ubuntu 10.10 system, now in upgrading to 12.04, it is broken. I've attempted various work-arounds found via google search and failed, including: 1. install winbind 2. add wins to the hosts list in the nsswitch.conf file 3. uncomment name resolve configuration in smb.conf file (name resolve order = bcast host lmhosts wins ) 4. add various lines to smb.conf file client lanman auth = Yes lanman auth = Yes None worked for me.. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/914578 Title: nautilus failed retrieve samba shared folders from windows 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/914578/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
