[Bug 221112] Re: Can't use space bar in search bar when using french alternative keyboard
After discussions about the bug #1013881, it seems that the right way to solve this bug is to change the line 128 of symbol/fr include "nbsp(level4nl)" by include "nbsp(level4n)" For an unknown reason, the line «include "nbsp(level4nl)"» produces the bug of Rhythmbox. This way, we can get : – Right Ctrl works – Rhythmbox Ctrl-Space works – Nbsp is available (on level 4) ** Tags removed: verification-done ** Tags added: verification-failed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221112 Title: Can't use space bar in search bar when using french alternative keyboard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/libgnomekbd/+bug/221112/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1020716] [NEW] apport does not report rhythmbox crash
Public bug reported: Unfortunately, apport does not report rhythmbox crash. If Rhythmbox crashes, you will see the apport GUI offerring you to report a bug. Upon accepting to report the crash, nothing happens. The crash data stays in /var/log crash but there is no summary of a bug to be reported and Launchpad does not open up in the browser. Steps to reproduce: 1) Open rhythmbox 2) Induce crash of rhythmbox by using: $ kill -SEGV What happens: Apport GUI asks if you would like to report the issue. Upon accepting, nothing happens. Expected: I expect being able to create a bug report from a crash. I am basing myself on previous experience with Apport and with documentation which states: Apport is a system which intercepts crashes right when they happen the first time, gathers potentially useful information about the crash and the OS environment, ... presents a UI that informs the user about the crash and instructs them on how to proceed, ... If the user leaves the "Send error report" checkbox enabled, Apport uploads the collected information to the bug tracking system. After that it opens the packages' bug filing page with a sensible default bug title and leaves the rest of bug filing process to the web UI. - This last part does not happen. [Bug 1020657] [NEW] spinning mouse cursor when using gnome shell
Public bug reported: When using the gnome-shell desktop environment in Ubuntu (tested on 11.10 and 12.04) there is an annoying bug with nautilus regarding the mouse cursor on nautilus startup. When you start nautilus by clicking on the gnome-shell-icon the mouse cursor will keep spinning for at least half a minute. (sometimes there also is a spinning wheel on the top panel. This happens only when you have nautilus handle the desktop. I have found out when the bug occurs and when it does not: Bug occurs when: clicking the icon on the gnome-shell-panel clicking on the icon of the gnome-extension (Frippery Panel Favorites) clicking on the link to a subfolder of the homedirectory using the gnome-shell extension All-in-one-Places clicking on the notivication which appears when inserting a harddrive of some kind Bug does not occur when: clicking on the link to the homedirectory using the gnome-shell extension All-in-one-Places clicking on a direct desktop icon to the home folder or any other folder starting nautilus via terminal I also tested this using the ubuntu server version (12.04) and installing the hgnome shell manually without any unity files This bug does not occur on Fedora or any other distribution using gnome-shell, therefore I assume it must have something to do with Ubuntu and Nautilus. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1020657 Title: spinning mouse cursor when using gnome shell To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1020657/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
