[Bug 1036752] Re: [quantal] [regression] Gnome Classic has no compiz plugins loaded
Tested on an existing quantal system. Before, on the previous compiz, I had no window decorations in Gnome Classic. Using the new version in quantal-proposed the problem is fixed - I have a working Gnome Classic desktop. [Bug 412738] Re: Can't record a second sound clip
Hi, I am trying to fix this bug. I think the problem is that sound recorder does file switching in the 'message::eos' handler, however the message is not generated at all. [Bug 986322] Re: Can't change layout using Unity indicator nor Gnome Control Center --12.10 upgrade
Anyway (for those that might come across this), I found a fix, my fix. 1. Open the gnome preference "keyboard layout" pane 2. Move the layout order, if you have more than one 3. Delete all layouts except the default one (mine was a US layout) The previous two steps have been suggested as fixes on their own (on the Ubuntu forums?). They did not work for me. I tried them together consecutively and this again did not work for me. Thus my next step. 4. Press, "Reset to Defaults" 5. Layout changes effectuated from both the layout pane and indicator now result in a change in layout. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/986322 Title: Can't change layout using Unity indicator nor Gnome Control Center --12.10 upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/986322/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 954391] Re: "something" is performing a controlled system shutdown
James Hunt, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p linux Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Please do not test the kernel in the daily folder, but the one all the way at the bottom. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested and remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the text: needs-upstream-testing If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, please comment as to why specifically you were unable to test it and add the following tags: kernel-unable-to-test-upstream kernel-unable-to-test-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER Please let us know your results.
