[Bug 1080591] [NEW] shotwell fails to authenticate with non-primary address
Public bug reported: I am trying to export some pictures from Shotwell to my Picasa account. I select Picasa from the publish list, and push the button to authenticate. I am asked for password, which I enter. I am then told that Authentication failed. Subsequent attempts go directly to Authentication failed, and there is no apparent way to enter the password again. Cause: I am using a non-gmail email address to log on to Google. This used to work, but something - presumably Google - has changed this. Suggestions: 1) Shotwell should be more informative about the Authentication Failure, and report what exactly is wrong. I thought I had mistyped the password, and then it's frustrating not to be offered the opportunity to retype it. 2) The login dialog should offer a direct link or pointer to the accounts settings, now I need to select Add an account from the drop down. 3) Incidentally, removing accounts doesn't work, in the end I had to disable two (non-working) instances of Google account configurations. [Bug 1042456] Re: Huawei e398 doesn't work
Current MM in Ubuntu fully ignores WWAN ports handled using the QMI protocol; which means the modem is stuck to use PPP over a serial port. [Bug 1010349] Re: Evolution address book inaccessible without killing one time e-addressbook-factory
Evolution's excellent addressbook hasn't been working well for more than a year now, starting with 11.04. The 'crowd' must have moved over to Thunderbird, or what else could be the reason for such a low priority for this annoying bug? Any Android user would love to have this working! Currently, I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 (with evolution 3.2.3). There are two ways to get a Google addressbook working *for one session only*: 1. Start evolution, kill e-addressbook-factory, (re)open contacts (see above) 2. Run 'seahorse' from a terminal, delete the passwd for google://youraddress%40gmail@gmail.com; start evolution, open addressbook, retype passwd. (This works for calendar trouble too: delete caldav://.. instead.) Unfortunately, this solution only works for one session; upon re- invocation the whole misery starts again. [Bug 1080890] [NEW] gtk3 file browser slow
You have been subscribed to a public bug: 2. What did you attempt to do, or what did you notice was wrong? I'm attempting to upload a large numbers of files in a browser (I tried both chrome and firefox). I tried uploading 600+ files to Google drive and it hangs on the upload screen for 2-5 minutes before starting the upload. [Bug 1055286] [NEW] Nautilus launcher, places, bookmarks no longer appearing in applications
You have been subscribed to a public bug: After upgrading gnome-shell to 3.5.92, Nautilus/Files no longer appears in the Activities pane: The launcher is no longer in the list of applications, and Nautilus places/bookmarks no longer appear when searching for them. This makes it impossible to launch Nautilus from gnome-shell, which makes file management rather difficult. Re: [Bug 1048059] Re: Adding ACLs to /media/$user does not work
Shane Pearson [2012-11-19 18:23 -]: Yes, you can have temp SSH access on my netbook. I'm just having issues with the ssh-rsa thing. Oh, that's not a command. Create an user account for me (e. g. pitti), and copy the contents of https://launchpad.net/~pitti/+sshkeys into /home/pitti/.ssh/authorized_keys, then I will be able to log in. As I will need sudo to run udisks, please set some password for me and create a /home/pitti/password.txt with the password so that I can see it once I'm logged in. For the record, I might have to install a couple of packages (udisks2's build dependencies) to build udisks2 until it's fixed. I will remove them after I'm done.
