After some research i found a way to fix it: gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power lid-close-suspend-with-external-monitor true now i see, it is not bug in gnome-settings-daemon. We can thank gnomers, they made linux very similar to Window$ 7. Is does not power off USB devices on safely removal :) For example, Window$ XP (which is in EOL stage) powers off the port. I agree that it the cause does not seem to be a hardware issue. However, the result is a hardware issue in my case: Every time that I don’t realize that my laptop doesn‘t turn off, my battery runs empty. I'm sorry, I told you the wrong command. Could you please execute 'ps -eO stat | grep nepomuk' during a hung shutdown? I'll be particularly interested in any 'D's in the second or third column. I'm interested in knowing which (if any) nepomuk services are hanging during a shut down. If they aren't hanging, but ubuntu is just forgetting to shut them down (which looks like it might be the case from your last comment) then I'm afraid that is something ubuntu specific and nothing to do with me - I just fix bugs in nepomuk sometimes. I emphasise that I need the ps executed *while* shutdown is hung - I want to know which process is blocking, so listing processes when they are not blocked doesn't help so much. I have a laptop Asus K45A. Just installed Ubuntu 13.04 daily 2013-02-16. And after every reboot, the screen brightness is set to maximum instead of keep the way I'd configured it before the reboot. [Bug 1127743] [NEW] seek bar issues when playing m4a
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. Play A State of Trance podcast m4a file. Notice that seek bar indicates that we are a few minutes into the song but it's actually playing the beginning. 2. Try to seek halfway through the song. Audio that starts playing is from halfway through the song but the seek bar jumps further in the song. 3. Press pause. Rhythmbox pauses. 4. Press play. Rhythmbox doesn't play. Even though the song I'm playing is from a podcast it's not specific to the podcast area of rhythmbox. I can reproduce the issue when copying the file to my normal library. See attached screenshot. It does seem to be related to specific types of m4a files, though. I have others that don't reproduce the issue.
