[Bug 1158594] Re: Video is too yellow/bright, as if a grossly exaggerated gamma transform is applied (raring regression)
It looks like this may be a totem bug specifically, as if I launch the same file playing simultaneously through totem, gst-launch-0.10 and gst- launch-1.0 by executing the following in a terminal: totem rUgAgfO-16s.mp4 & gst-launch-1.0 playbin uri=file:///home/maxb /rUgAgfO-16s.mp4 & gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///home/maxb /rUgAgfO-16s.mp4 & it is easy to see that only the totem playback displays the abnormal colouring. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1158594 Title: Video is too yellow/bright, as if a grossly exaggerated gamma transform is applied (raring regression) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/1158594/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1158594] [NEW] Video is too yellow/bright, as if a grossly exaggerated gamma transform is applied (raring regression)
Public bug reported: Some video files play in totem in raring appearing far too bright and yellowish - the appearance is similar to an excessively strong application of a gamma transform. To reproduce: 1) Download this video from youtube (~15MB): youtube-dl -f 18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUgAgfO-16s 2) Open the downloaded file in totem, and the youtube page in a browser, and play them side by side simultaneously. The difference should be readily apparent, especially in the flaring on the "Game of Thrones" text in the title sequence and in the desert scenery. Other media players such as vlc, xine-ui render the video correctly. ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1158594 Title: Video is too yellow/bright, as if a grossly exaggerated gamma transform is applied (raring regression) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/1158594/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1158592] [NEW] Overwriting a duplicate file does not need confirmation
Public bug reported: I use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS default install. I have several folders with mostly the same content. A few files have been modified in any of them but most files are duplicates. I want to merge the folders with a simple drag and drop in Nautilus. I expect Nautilus to ask me before overwriting a file when the two files with the same name have a different content. Yet I don't expect a question when the files are identical. Indeed, if the files are duplicates, it makes no differences to overwrite or keep the existing file so no question should be displayed. Currently in 12.04, for every file with the same name, Nautilus ask whether I want to replace the existing file or to skip copying/moving. It is not practical when there are thousand of duplicates. Even with a few it is not obvious to know if the files differ by a few bytes only (the only the change date may give a hint). Thus I suggest to silently "overwrite" a file when the source and target files are duplicates. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1158592 Title: Overwriting a duplicate file does not need confirmation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1158592/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1158584] [NEW] Printer setup dialog unusable
Public bug reported: It appears to be impossible to add a printer by FQDN/hostname/IP using the Gnome printer settings panel's "Add Printer" option. Whether I type in anything in the "address" box or not, the same long list of printer models appears in the list above, and one of those (that does not correspond to the hostname specified) is added if I press "add". Hello Lucas, or anyone else affected, Accepted gvfs into quantal-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/1.14.2-0ubuntu0.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision. [Bug 984993] Re: gvfsd-gphoto2 crashed with SIGABRT in __libc_message()
Hello Grizz, or anyone else affected, Accepted gvfs into precise-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/1.12.1-0ubuntu1.2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification .
