[Bug 185928] Re: Pressing Space key should toggle play/pause (pause when playing; play when paused)
I haven't read the implementation for gnome accessibility w/ space bar, but could I suggest that the selection order of the widgets be changed so that play/pause widget is the first selected on window focus? Then, so long as the user does not hit Tab while in the application, space bar will be play/pause as expected by (many?) at least me and OP. We could even go so far as physically swapping the (previous track) widget and the (play/pause) widget? Some other observations= The problem wont happen 1. if every other app is minimized or 2. Banshee is the only opened app or 3. after opening gnome-terminal, banshee window is closed so that it hides to the SoundMenu and opened again =Comment from Ted Gould= tedg, Hi! any thoughts on the long standing bug 627195 ? Its been there before unity so I guess we can conclude unity not to be responsible om26er, My thought is that window managers should $%#$ get fixed... though I haven't convinced smspillaz of it yet. =The good rule= 3v1n0: Indicators should present the application windows by passing to them the timestamp of the menu item activation event. Unfortunately for indicator-sound, this is not trival as it sounds, since it needs a change to the MPRIS dbus specification. See comment https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/627195/comments/26 for more informations. For what concerns libappindicator based indicators (such as the one used by tomboy), since it's not currently possible in libdbusmenu to pass the event during activation (so that clients will be able to get the proper timestamp using gtk_get_current_event_time), there are two "hackish" ways: 1. Use the server time to present a window: -https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=688830 + https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=688830 2. Get the event timestamp from the dbus-menu linked to the gtk-menus: -http://paste.ubuntu.com/5701235/ + http://paste.ubuntu.com/5701235/ + 3. Qt applications workaround: http://is.gd/WnW9eN Window managers will obey to it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/627195 Title: Window management - Apps raised from indicators sometimes dont have the focus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/627195/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 911269] Re: evolution-exchange is ignoring already translated menu-items (Permissions..., Berechtigungen...)
I think you have to run the setup-utility and configure an exchange server. Otherwise Evolution won't even notice the extension. That's the reason why I cannot test it, because I don't have access to a valid exchange server. Nevertheless, this bug is fixed upstream and if the package got removed from Ubuntu anyway there is not much sense in trying to get this fixed for Precise since the chances are very low that a fix will ever be released (would need a SRU and translation bugs usually don't apply to this). If this is still a problem for anybody using Precise I suggest to install the package manually. Closing as Fix Released since Upstream fix is available. ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Status: Triaged => Fix Released ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Invalid ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Fix Released ** Changed in: evolution-exchange (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/911269 Title: evolution-exchange is ignoring already translated menu-items (Permissions..., Berechtigungen...)
