[Bug 946095] Re: font not visible in terminal plugin

2013-05-24 Thread Adam Dingle
This has now been fixed in gedit-plugins git master upstream, but it
doesn't yet work with Ambiance when Use colors from system theme is
checked in your gnome-terminal profile (which is the default setting).
Ambiance will need a patch to make this work in Ubuntu - see

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=694598#c14

[Bug 1183778] [NEW] rhythmbox crashes on sync to ipod touch

2013-05-24 Thread Andy Stevens
Public bug reported:

Not sure whether this is a duplicate of #940556 ?

I'm running Ubuntu 13.04, which was a new installation (not an upgrade) on my
laptop.
I have a 3rd generation iPod touch, freshly reset to factory state in iTunes so
no music on it yet.
My music library in rhythmbox has a couple hundred CDs that I imported to flac
files on a SMB share (NAS drive), which I can play okay within rhythmbox.

I enabled the iPod plugin in rhythmbox and plugged in the iPod; a few
new icons appear in nautilus and in the launcher bar - Documents on
Peter's iPod, Peter's iPod and iPod (those first two show some
cryptic afc://... URL when I hover over them, the last shows
mtp://[usb:001,002]/) In rhythmbox I saw Peter's iPod appear under
Devices, so I right-clicked on it and selected Properties. The first
thing I noticed in the properties window was it gave the name as iPod
touch rather than Peter's iPod, which was the default name I saw in
the iPod's own settings before I changed it, don't know if that makes
any difference. Then I went into the Sync properties and ticked (only)
the new For Peter playlist that I'd created with a few dozen tracks.

I noticed on the Advanced tab it gives the supported Audio Formats as
MPEG Layer 3 Audio and MPEG 4 Audio - am I right in expecting that
rhythmbox will convert the flac files to one of these while copying them
over?

Unfortunately, it didn't get that far - after closing the window I
right-clicked the device and selected Sync with Library. The window
dimmed, stayed like that for a minute or more, then vanished. According
to ps the process has gone; I tried running rhythmbox from the shell
and did the same, at the point it disappears there's a Segmentation
fault (core dumped) message output.

I'm happy to generate any debug/trace output needed, if someone can tell
me what they need me to do. I don't know if the problem is with the
iPod syncing, flac-mp3 conversion, use of SMB (I had problems with
gvfs-smb crashing in earlier ubuntu versions), or something else
entirely...

[Bug 1183832] [NEW] Evolution regularly empties (and completely reloads) my IMAP+ inbox

2013-05-24 Thread Adam Fine
Public bug reported:

Every few minutes, when performing some other function like checking for
new messages, my inbox will lose most of my email messages (showing only
emails from Jan 1, 2013 and earlier).

The next time I check for new mail, it will download the whole inbox
from the server. No emails seem to be lost in the transaction, but does
take some time to download the whole index of emails again each time -
and this happens very frequently.

I believe this is new, as of the 13.04 Ubuntu upgrade.

[Bug 1154657] Re: Update to 2.34.4

2013-05-24 Thread Brian Murray
The verification calls for seeing if there are any regressions, it is
possible to use errors.ubuntu.com for this with the following url:

https://errors.ubuntu.com/api/1.0/most-common-
problems/?format=jsonversion=2.32.4-0ubuntu1package=glib2.0period=yearlimit=10first_appearance=True

This will tells us if there are any crashes that were first reported
about the version of the package in precise-proposed. While there is
one new bucket it is only reported by one system so I would disregard
it.

[Bug 1183948] [NEW] Can not read/write files to walkman (MTP)

2013-05-24 Thread Levan Chelidze
Public bug reported:

So today I connected walkamn to my ubuntu pc knowing that it used to work at
least on every other versions of ubuntu I have tried, latest 12.10
So I connected it and it showed files and folders as it used to but when I try
to play something, it did not work, vlc even showed an error massage

[CODE]File reading failed:VLC could not open the file
/run/user/levan/gvfs/mtp:host=%5Busb%3A001%2C006%5D/65537/7/6268. (Operation
not supported)
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL
'file:///run/user/levan/gvfs/mtp%3Ahost%3D%255Busb%253A001%252C006%255D/65537/7/6268'.
 Check the log for details.[/CODE]

and I do not remember if it used to show the location of walkman as

[CODE]mtp://[usb:001,006]/65537[/CODE]

on other ubuntu for example (12.10) this thing used to work even better
than on windows ??

[Bug 1183957] [NEW] Can not read/write files to walkman (MTP)

2013-05-24 Thread Levan Chelidze
Public bug reported:

So today I connected walkamn to my ubuntu pc knowing that it used to work at
least on every other versions of ubuntu I have tried, latest 12.10
So I connected it and it showed files and folders as it used to but when I try
to play something, it did not work, vlc even showed an error massage

[CODE]File reading failed:VLC could not open the file
/run/user/levan/gvfs/mtp:host=%5Busb%3A001%2C006%5D/65537/7/6268. (Operation
not supported)
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL
'file:///run/user/levan/gvfs/mtp%3Ahost%3D%255Busb%253A001%252C006%255D/65537/7/6268'.
 Check the log for details.[/CODE]

and I do not remember if it used to show the location of walkman as

[CODE]mtp://[usb:001,006]/65537[/CODE]

on other ubuntu for example (12.10) this thing used to work even better
than on windows

[Bug 1183968] [NEW] Idea: Dump Folders

2013-05-24 Thread Devyn Collier Johnson
Public bug reported:

I have an idea for a new feature in Nautilus. This feature is the
ability for a user a right-click a selection of many folders. The user
can then click Dump Folders. This will tell Nautilus to move the files
out of the folders to the root location of these folders and then delete
the folders. For example, if I have hundreds of folders in ./Downloads,
I could dump the folders and the files inside would all be placed in the
Downloads folders.

It looks like it was already reported upstream,

and it has been fixed

[Bug 1184007] Re: menu mouse-scrolling up down does not appear on first try on large menus

2013-05-24 Thread Jason Conti
Moving this to gtk+3.0. I believe it is gtk 3 specific. It is not just
limited to gedit, it happens with any app using indicator-appmenu (I
notice it most often under okular on pdfs with lots of bookmarks). But
it is also not indicator-appmenu specific because the following code,
when run with:

UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 ./test-menu

will exhibit the behavior as well. When compiled with:

gcc -o test-menu test-menu.c $(pkg-config --cflags --libs gtk+-3.0);

the weird first time no scrollbars behavior occurs. But it works fine if
using:

gcc -o test-menu test-menu.c $(pkg-config --cflags --libs gtk+-2.0);

** Summary changed:

- menu mouse-scrolling up down does not appear on first try
+ menu mouse-scrolling up down does not appear on first try on large menus

** Package changed: gtk+2.0 (Ubuntu) = ubuntu

** Package changed: ubuntu = gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu)
