[Bug 808106] Re: Shortcut for changing tabs should be Ctrl-PgDn/PgUp
I don't understand. In the upstream bug report it is stated that Ctrl- Alt-PgUp/PgDn is part op GTK. I tested it and indeed it works with both gedit and nautilus. [Bug 321720]
Adobe would have to document XFA forms before this even could be addressed. The most up to date info I could find on that front is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XFA#Standardization As long as Adobe keeps XFA forms proprietary they are not potable and livecycle and acroread are the only way to deal with them. Speaking only for myself, I’d go so far as to say that private, unpublished extensions to the PDF format make the file not PDF. Support for ECMA-Script, on the other hand, is merely a matter of coding. Until poppler or evince add it, you might want to try compiling mupdf master (git clone git://git.ghostscript.com/mupdf.git) with -DV8_PRESENT=1. You’ll need to install v8 first. Your distribution might pacakge it, else look at http://code.google.com/p/v8. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to poppler in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/321720 Title: PDF v1.7 asks to upgrade Adobe Reader To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/poppler/+bug/321720/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1194783] [NEW] Gnome Control Centre Display configuration throws error
Public bug reported: I am able to launch and run the Gnome monitor/display control utility by launching the following in Lubuntu 13.04 sudo gnome-control-center display ...but whenever I try to actually trigger a change to the display layout, it throws the following error in a dialog... Failed to apply configuration: %s GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.gnome.SettingsDaemon was not provided by any .service files I suspect this is because some dependency of gnome-control-center is implicit. Perhaps there is a service which I need to manually start before this will succeed. This is important as the behaviour of the Gnome monitor control is much richer than other xrandr wrappers like lxrandr or arandr, and in general having access to gnome controls (e.g. for mouse configuration) would be far preferable to the minimal Lubuntu ones. In particular I would like to retain control of which is the primary screen (in Compiz and LXDE) so that the panel stays on the correct monitor, regardless of the specific layout (currently with the correct layout for the physical placement of my monitors, the panel arrives on the wrong monitor and is invisible). [Bug 1194769] [NEW] Nautilus thumbnails disappeared and won't return in Ubuntu 12.04
Public bug reported: When I first upgraded to 12.04 from 11.04 [via 11.10] the thumbnails were just perfect. I think [not 100% sure] that once when I had to reinstall grub to boot, all desktop icons except folders and LibraOffice docs are represented by clocks - not thumbnails!?! I have tried a variety of fixes I see posted, but NONE worked, so far. I fear that endlessly trying repairs could damage the entire system and I'd have to re-install [for me an extraordinary amount of work, given how my system is set up!]. I see one other person who reported the exact same thing happen when they re-installed grub, so wonder how and if that was the problem and how to repair. I have tried to edit the gconf and the settings in Nautilus and a few other 'tricks' suggested. None had any effect and luckily none further damaged the system, as far as I can determine...but I'm left with a horrible looking desktop and it is very difficult to find photos without the thumbnails! ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: nautilus thumbnails ** Attachment added: "screenshot" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1194769/+attachment/3714332/+files/Screenshot%20from%202013-06-23%2013%3A39%3A53.png ** Description changed: When I first upgraded to 12.04 from 11.04 [via 11.10] the thumbnails were just perfect. [Bug 1194767] [NEW] printer recognized, scans, but DOESN'T PRINT! HELP! PLEASE!
Public bug reported: I have a Canon Pixma MP540 printer. OK, not the best or most modern, but it did work [after MUCH work! - hours of] in Ubuntu 11.04. Since I've upgraded to 12.04.2 [a few months ago] I have been UNABLE to find a fix. I see many suggested on the internet, but they either are for other Cannon models, too complex for me to figure out what is being suggested, or don't work. it is a real pain to have to reboot to Windoz to print something! Any pointers on how to solve this problem or new updates on Ubuntu's end would be most appreciated. The printer is recognized and scans finebut every print job just winds up in the print que forever. ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: cannon cups glutenprint printers -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1194767 Title: printer recognized, scans, but DOESN'T PRINT! [Bug 1006490] Re: Gnome Classic 12.04 panel applet “Force Quit” locks up system, hardware reboot to recover
Yes, the one that come with the 12.04 install freezes all up. I can't even get rid of it..I just try not to touch it. However, I added via terminal another force-quit and it works fine. They just need to add the working one to the install package - or make that one install properly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1006490 Title: Gnome Classic 12.04 panel applet “Force Quit” locks up system, hardware reboot to recover To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/1006490/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

The issue seems fixed in the current version of Ubuntu (13.10), can somebody confirm that?
