[Bug 632278] [NEW] Ubuntu 10.04 tabs charactes disappeared when copy/paste to terminal

2013-08-18 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

1. open gedit.
2. check if "Insert spaces instead of tabs" unchecked
3. type: ls-all
note: no space chars, just tab.
4. select line, copy to buffer.
5. open terminal, paste from buffer, you will get ls-all
   while ls-all is expected.

This is really borrowing, when deal with source code...

[Bug 661957] [NEW] update to Maverick causes Evolution to be removed

2013-08-18 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Today, October 16, 2010, I launched Update Manager(Ubuntu Maverick 10.10) and
there was an update available. It told me than only a partial upgrade could be
performed. I chose this option. The installation of this update caused
Evolution Mail Program and Calandar (that I use) to be removed from my system.
I do not believe this should have occurred. I restored my system to a prior
Maverick backup, and tried again. The same thing occurred. I am not sure what
might be wrong, if anything, with my sysem. I have kept up-to-date on all
Maverick updates. I thought since this occurred twice, under the same
circumstances, that I would report it.

2013-08-18 Thread Ross Gammon
Thank you for reporting this bug.
In order for the developers to be able to investgate and fix the problem:
1. It shoud be assigned to the right package (from the bug description I can
see that it appears to be the "evince" package)
2. It is best if the bug report is translated into English

2013-08-18 Thread einar
I'm also having the same issue as above in Ubuntu 13.04. The progress
bar stops at 729,1 MB for file transfer of 6,6 GB. After a few minutes
it tels me that the transfer will take 1 hour and 2 minutes (1,6 MB/sec)
but nothing happens after that. After 15 minutes there is no update and
the transfer doesn't seem to have progress at all so I have to cancel.

[Bug 1075421] Re: Realtek RTL8188CE wireless does not work in Ubuntu 12.04LTS

2013-08-18 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Carlos Blanquer Bogacz, this bug was reported a while ago and there
hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is
still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest
development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p linux

Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available following
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional
upstream developers to examine the issue. Please do not test the daily folder,
but the one all the way at the bottom. Once you've tested the upstream kernel,
please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is
fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags:
kernel-fixed-upstream
kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For
example:
kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.11-rc5

This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next
to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. As well, please
remove the tag:
needs-upstream-testing

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags:
kernel-bug-exists-upstream
kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

As well, please remove the tag:
needs-upstream-testing

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's
Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your
understanding.

[Bug 1195725] Re: Nautilus window jumping with dual monitors

2013-08-18 Thread Prasanna Kannappan
I want to add that I am experiencing the same behavior with chromium-
browser too. When I open a browser window on my external monitor and
start typing into the address bar, it moves the window to my other
monitor (laptop monitor) in a dual monitor configuration.

It doesn't look like a nautilus bug. It looks more like a windows
manager bug.

will never be fixed in raring i went ahead & patched 2.98 with the
