Thank you for your bug report

 dbus 1.6.12-0ubuntu4

you are using saucy-proposed it seems, you shouldn't (proposed is not
meant for users but for automatic testing)

In any case that seems more likely an issue with the new dbus there than
with gedit

[Bug 124440] Re: Ubuntu needs a way to set mouse scrolling speed

2013-08-28 Thread Timo Palomaa
There should be also a separate setting for laptops' touchpad edge
scrolling to avoid constant tinkering with the setting, because
obviously touchpad accelerates differently. At least I find that the
default current slow scrolling is ok for my touchpad, but I hate it for
my mouse wheels. For sure I'd rather live with that tinkering than
current no-setting-at-all situation.

But the way the mouse settings were recently (13.04) dumbed down even
more (additional touchpad settings removed and sensitivity and speed
slider becoming one single slider - seriously?), I think it is more
likely to see whole mouse settings being removed altogether by Gnome
team than to see this ever being addressed with an additional setting...

  * Removed logic in the calculateWallOffset() function in the Expo
plugin that only accounted for offsetting the expo animation on the
left-most and top-most monitor. Also removed the
TestNoOffsetIfOutputIsNotOrigin test since this test is now invalid.

  * Ctrl-Alt-Del should open the gnome-system-monitor at the processes

action. This includes: - Install the commands plugin by default. -
Breaks/Replaces the compiz-plugins package for versions earlier than
0.9.10. - Patch commands.xml and integrated.xml to map gnome-system-

[Bug 1217916] Re: While editing main menu, xfce4-panel crashed with SIGSEGV in fast_validate()

2013-08-28 Thread Alistair Buxton
It should be enough to create the directory, I think. That's what
alacarte is doing - making the directory, making the file, then crashing
when it tries to write a non-ascii character, so the files end up empty
which xfce can't handle.

[Bug 182578] Re: Message moving/copying should have a real progress bar

2013-08-28 Thread halfbeing
I think this design error is more serious than the report above
suggests. I am currently trying to sync 1GB of Gmail data and you would
really be forgiven for thinking Evolution has completely stalled because
there is no information and all the little spinning wheel animations
have all stopped spinning. The only reason I haven't assumed the worst
and forced Evolution to quit has been because I have been using iotop to
confirm that Evolution is still writing to disk. When a process can take
hours or even days (which is what a sync with a full Gmail mailbox would
take) you really do need to know whether or not something is still
happening.
