[Bug 828756] Re: getting "connection is untrusted" warnings
I get this error within my Enlightenment session. I originally installed Ubuntu as Bodhi, but then disabled its repositories and have since reinstalled *every* package with --force- confnew --force-confask to get rid of this issue. This did not help at all. What did help is the instruction in comment #39. Instructions for E17: * Settings Console -> Applications -> Desktop Environments: + Start GNOME Services on login * Settings Console -> Applications -> Autostart Applications: + PolicyKit Authentication Agent (this bug is also reported against p11-kit, so I figured I might enable it, even though it seems unrelated) + Certificate And Key Storage (this is probably the most important one, but I did not bother to test it alone) + Secret Storage Service + GPG Password Agent + SSH Key Agent Please note that *both* settings were necessary. Just starting the GNOME Services did not help. libfolks25: Installiert: 0.6.8-2 Kandidat:0.6.8-2 Versionstabelle: *** 0.6.8-2 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status telepathy-gabble: Installiert: 0.16.0-0ubuntu3.1 Kandidat:0.16.0-0ubuntu3.1 Versionstabelle: *** 0.16.0-0ubuntu3.1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main i386 Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-security/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 0.16.0-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages e17: Installiert: 1:0.17.5-1ppa1~precise Kandidat:1:0.17.5-1ppa1~precise Versionstabelle: *** 1:0.17.5-1ppa1~precise 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/efl/trunk/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 0.16.999.55225-1build1 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/universe i386 Packages -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/828756 Title: getting "connection is untrusted" warnings To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ca-certificates-java/+bug/828756/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1264280] Re: Cannot browse file on bluetooth device. Nonsense error message
After this, I noticed that the mobile device was listed on the bottom of the left panel of Nautilus. So I clicked it, and Nautilus crashed. After that, I relaunched Nautilus, and now browsing the mobile device works both from Nautilus (clicking on the device name on the left panel) and from the Bluetooth application (following the steps in the report) After this, when I open Nautilus, it generates a new icon in the Launcher instead of just adding an arrow on the left of the existing launcher icon. There's certainly a bug in Nautilus as it crashed; I don't know if it's _only_ nautilus or if bluetooth has an issue as well. ** Package changed: bluez (Ubuntu) => nautilus (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1264280 Title: Cannot browse file on bluetooth device. [Bug 1264280] [NEW] Cannot browse file on bluetooth device. Nonsense error message
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Usually I can browse files on my mobile connected via bluetooth from the computer. Same computer, same phone, now I can't. - Click on the bluetooth icon on the notification area - select "bluetooth settings" (directly selecting "Browse files" within the submenu under the name of the device wouldn't work, as per bug #1254106) - select the device which is the only one in the list and click "Browse files". => I get this nonsense error message: "Unable to find the requested file. Please check the spelling and try again" And below: "Unhandled error message: Unable to load location". Note the error message suggesting to check the spelling is particularly stupid as no typing is involved in the process. I've done a hcidump during the process and it is COMPLETELY EMPTY. I have removed the phone from the devices, paired it again from scratch, and it does not fix the issue. It used to work until very few days ago. [Bug 1264301] [NEW] gnome-screensaver freezes system on lid close or inactivity, xscreensaver resolves problems
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS, I was experiencing a screen freeze (mouse still moveable but clicks not registered, keyboard non responsive) every time I close my laptop lid or after a period of inactivity. My Power Settings were "Don't suspend when inactive" and "Do Nothing" when lid closed (both battery and AC). The Brightness and Lock settings where to "Dim screen to save power" and "Turn off screen when inactive after 30 minutes", "Lock screen after screen turns off". The expected behaviour after closing the lid is that nothing happened, and after 30minutes inactivity that I be met with a login screen to unlock my desktop. The actual behaviour was a freeze as described above. I found that if I uninstalled `gnome-screensaver` all together `sudo apt-get remove gnome-screensaver`, and replaced it with `xscreensaver` I experience no such freezes any more.
