[Bug 1026414] Re: Rhythmbox consistently fails on new installs trying to scan large home directory
I have a similar problem with a similar sized home folder in Ubuntu 13.10 x64. [Bug 1264472] Re: 05ac:12a9 [Medion E7218] Can't pair iPad / iOS7 with Ubuntu via USB
Stephen Kun, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Could you please confirm this issue exists with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If the issue remains, please just make a comment to this. If reproducible, could you also please test the latest upstream kernel available (not the daily folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For example: kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.13-rc6 This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. [Bug 1131220] Re: [soundnua]: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in gvc_mixer_control_lookup_device_from_stream()
Well... bah. I guess we have a couple of options? - you could walk me through installing debug symbols, whenever you have the time. I'm sure it wouldn't be easy, but I'm game if you are. - if there is some sort of changelog for gnome-control-center, we could still look back through it to the time around when I filed my bug initially... the sound menu definitely used to work with this card, so something roughly a year ago must have broken compatibility for me. I just never really knew where to look, or if it was specifically gnome-control-center I should be looking into. - as a last-ditch option, i might be able to send you my interface... it would suck to be without it, but if you thought having it would help diagnose the problem and you cared enough to take a look, maybe it would be a good option? Not sure where you live, so I don't know about shipping costs... I'm in eastern massachusetts at the moment. Anyway. [Bug 1265418] [NEW] Gtk3 bookmark can't be removed if it points to a file
Public bug reported: In the file requestor of Gtk3 you can drag files and directories to the sidebar to create bookmarks. If the user drags a file here the bookmark can never be deleted because the option is disabled. To reproduce: 1. Open a Gtk3 application such as firefox, gedit etc. 2. Open the File Open requester. 3. Drag a file to the bookmarks. 4. Right click on the file bookmark. Expected result: Should be able to click on Remove to remove the bookmark. Actual result: The remove option is always disabled. Workaround: Edit ~/.config/gtk-3.0/bookmarks and delete the bookmark line. Also affects trusty. [Bug 1244087] Re: Ubuntu 13.10 Main Menu editor Problem
Disclaimer: I'm a student, and not a Python programmer, and have only been looking at Alacarte's code for an hour and a half or so. So this might all be totally off-base. Regarding the missing icon extensions, I think I found where it's happening. In ItemEditor.py (found here: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu- branches/ubuntu/saucy/alacarte/saucy/view/head:/Alacarte/ItemEditor.py ), line 68: def set_icon_string(image, icon): if GLib.path_is_absolute(icon): image.props.file = icon else: image.props.icon_name = strip_extensions(icon) I did some testing, and an icon path that got stripped on saving in Main Menu return True when passed to GLib.path_is_absolute. So if icon is being passed to set_icon_string properly, then we shouldn't have this issue. The only place where we see set_icon_string used is on line 144: def set_icon(self, ctl, name): try: val = self.keyfile.get_string(DESKTOP_GROUP, name) except GLib.GError: pass else: set_icon_string(self.builder.get_object(ctl), val) The value returned by self.keyfile.get_string(DESKTOP_GROUP, name) must not be evaluating True in GLib.path_is_absolute. Why? No idea. And that's about all the sleuthing I can do at 1 am. I might take another look soon, though. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to alacarte in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1244087 Title: Ubuntu 13.10 Main Menu editor Problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alacarte/+bug/1244087/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
