[Bug 1248303] Re: Regression: installing gutenprint printer driver fails

2014-01-16 Thread Brian Murray
Hello Jussi, or anyone else affected,

Accepted system-config-printer into saucy-proposed. The package will
build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/system-config-printer/1.4.2+20130920-0ubuntu1.2 in a few hours, and
then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

[Bug 1266600] [NEW] 05ac:12a8 [Asus P7H55-M PRO] iphone 5 with IOS 7.0.4 requests passcode and to be trusted

2014-01-16 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

same exact problem as 1215098 but for 12.04 LTS
current kernel 3.2.0-58-generic but booting to older kernel 3.2.0-54-generic
incurred same issue

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz
Ubuntu 12.04 (precise)
3.2.0-58-generic (#88-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 3 17:37:58 UTC 2013)
4.6 (x86_64-linux-gnu)
.11.3 (16 October 2013 04:41:23PM)

Problem as defined by 1215098 on Ubuntu 13.04
Devices running iOS 7 now have a USB Pair Trust prompt that appears
when the device is plugged into a machine. This prompt reads "Trust
This Computer? Your settings and data will be accessible from this
computer when connected via USB or Wi-Fi. [Trust] [Don't Trust]"

  Repro:
  1) Plug powered-on Apple device with iOS 7 into Ubuntu USB port

  Expected results:
The device should pair with the Ubuntu machine when "Trust" is tapped.

  Actual results:
When plugged into an Ubuntu machine, when the Trust button on the prompt is
clicked, the iPhone buzzes twice, then repeats the prompt. This will repeat
endlessly.

On the Ubuntu machine, a dialog reading "The device "[name of device]"
is locked. Enter the passcode on the device and click "Try again".
[Cancel] [Try again]" is displayed. However, no opportunity to enter
the passcode on the device is ever displayed. Clicking "Try again"
  only re-displays this dialog, endlessly.

[Bug 1267331] Re: nautilus crashes when clicked on download folder

2014-01-16 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these
instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can
be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the
crash report you wish to submit.
If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with
'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is
the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed
to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug
/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

[Bug 1210852] Re: gvfsd-http assert failure in g_error_free()

2014-01-16 Thread Sebastien Bacher
@Guilliver: to build it you can basically do

- dget
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/gvfs_1.18.2-0ubuntu1.dsc
- dpkg-source -x *.dsc
- copy the git patch to debian/patches
(https://git.gnome.org/browse/gvfs/patch/?id=de8ad26c71e14a15a3c5eeb05a73033dfccc8d85)
- list the filename of that new patch in debian/patches/series
- run "dch -i 'description of the change'
- run "debuild" (you need to have the build-depends to build it, "sudo apt-get
build-dep gvfs" to install those)

if you want to avoid having to build you can also upload the source to a
ppa, see https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA about those

Thank you for your bug report, we are tracking a stabke GTK (3.10) for the LTS
and that version requires GTK 3.11. The new UI also doesn't work well out of
gnome-shell (e.g it would mean a lesser experience for users on Unity, GNOME
classic, XFCE, KDE, etc).
That update is not going to happen for the LTS

7 years and a half...

It should be great to add this new feature, because it affects seriously
the usability.

[Bug 1232454] Re: "Computer will suspend very soon because of inactivity." dialog when resuming from suspend

2014-01-16 Thread Bib
So I'm back with the way with wmctrl (I found why it didn't work fine: wmctrl
requires OPTIONS to be passed before ACTIONS)
In the patch below, replace "Énergie" with the title of the popup in your
language.

[Bug 1018371] Re: Unable to open multiple files in Firefox from Nautilus at once

2014-01-16 Thread colin stockman
Yes I've been having this problem too - firefox wont open more than one
html files at once from Nautilus.

The only way round it appears to be just to open one [so firefox is running]
then load the rest as one group at once from Nautilus,
though even this sometimes fails.
