[Bug 1243806] Re: The names column has its width dictated by other columns
Sorry for my ignorance, but I do not understand, why the bug was Changed in nautilus: status: New → Invalid . This means that it is solved or that it is the actual and will be the future behavior of nautilus? Please someone can explain me? Actually I am using PCManFM as file manager. [Bug 959451] [NEW] Credentials from gnome-keyring is not used while printing
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hi, For end-user desktops, we've inserted the printing credentials in the user's gnome-keyring to make printing authentication automated. This worked perfectly last year and still works today ... up to the moment when the /etc/cups/printers.conf is auto-modified with the following change : AuthInfoRequired none to AuthInfoRequired username, password The result is that the user gets a Window which asks the username and the password to print. The printers are installed system wide (authentication can not be done with the printer's URI) and we send printing jobs to a Windows printing server. [Bug 1278366] [NEW] moving nautilus by touches is tricky
Public bug reported: Hi, whenever I try to move nautilus by fingers and my touchscreen, I have to place my finger exactly into titlebar. If I place it a bit under it, on surface with same color but that is NOT titlebar, I can move it, but moving is choppy and after I release my finger and tap it on other place, the previously dragged window of nautilus will jump to that new tapped position. I think it is really important to repair this behaviour because touchscreens are seemingly the future of computers. The window is modal (in foreground) and does not respond, the only way to get rid of it is a kill command: $ killall evolution-alarm-notify I started with debugging option on: $ killall evolution-addressbook-factory $ killall evolution-source-registry $ killall evolution-calendar-factory $ LANG=C ALARMS_DEBUG=1 evolution 21 | tee /tmp/evolution.debug.log and got a crash on a notification, so apport should have sent another crash report at around Mo 10. Feb 13:20:00 CET 2014 The first log following here is the log for a non-crash, snooze did work this one time, but here is corrupt double linked list error in the end (took some time to appear, ca. 2 minutes). This was unfortunately not logged in the logfile (evolution.debug.log), only appeared on console. The snooze reminder did not show up. The second log is a log with a frozen notification window (see below and in evolution.debug2.log). I will add both logfiles with small comments (#) in it. To me it looks like the function tray_list_remove_data_async is causing these issues. BTW, why is acroread starting?!? [Bug 1097957] Re: Balance not restored in Audio panel after restart of system.
An adjusted balance *is* restored after restart, but slider on the UI says it's 50/50. The balance-slider apparently has a number of problems. I don't know if the bug I've found is the same as the one reported here, related or completely different. But I've found that the balance slider works (even without any distortion or anything reported in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-media/+bug/426788) and the adjusted balance is restored/remembered across system restarts. BUT, after a restart, the slider is again set to middle although the balance is actually still in my previous adjusted setting. Moving the slider, putting it to one side, then again to middle resets the balance to 50/50. So it seems, the actual settings-value is not read-out on system restart from the actual config used by the system, and the slider is always (initially) set to 50/50 - although the actual underlying system-setting may be different. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1097957 Title: Balance not restored in Audio panel after restart of system. Attila, that patch removes the use of a function that isn't available in gtk+ 3.10 (we won't upgrade to 3.12 in this cycle). [Bug 1131220] Re: [soundnua]: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in gvc_mixer_control_lookup_device_from_stream()
Well, I'm embarrassed to say that updating to 13.10 just now fixed my sound menu issue completely. I'm not sure why it persisted through my last upgrade (to 13.04) and not this one, as both were clean installs. The only thing I can think of is that last time I kept my Fast Track plugged in during my ubuntu install, and this time I kept it unplugged and plugged it in after I had installed and restarted. Perhaps the card was autodetected in a strange way, or the OS install installed a driver for it in a strange manner? My only other explanation is that some package was changed in 13.10 and not backported to 13.04... but that seems odd. Anyway, I guess the matter is closed! [Bug 1277370] Re: Now used Aiatana design blocks Evince accessibility usage if the current session is not Unity
Hi Lars, So, the common accelerators will be working (F10 to open menu, CTRL+S to saveas the pdf file, CTRL+A and CTRL+C to select all entire content and copy to clipboard, CTRL+P to print the content)? If the nev version is publicating, what result I need seeing in GNOME Shell if I press for example the F10 key? I need landing a context menu (one column containing menu) with containing all important functions, or I need seeing a traditional menu bar (File Menu, Edit menu, etc) with containing the proper functions? The upstream Evince 3.10.3 version level provided menu with activating the F10 key is not presented previous with Unity? What happened before this downstream level modifications if an Unity user pressed for example F10 menu in Evince 3.10.3? I newer tryed this, I alwais used GNOME Flashback session and GNOME Shell classic session.
