[Bug 1269514] Re: Black screen (with clock) after waking the display
** Description changed: When the display sleeps due to idle time (or running `gnome-screensaver- - command -a`), if I move the mouse lightly it wakes up to a black screen - (with the clock on the top right). In this black screen I need to move - the mouse or press a key so that the desktop is shown. In this black screen I need to + move the mouse again or press a key in order for the desktop to be + shown. This occurs with the lock screen when idle option disabled. *Steps to reproduce* Disable lock when idle. Let the display go to sleep (or `gnome- screensaver-command -a`). [Bug 1207812] Re: iOS 7, Trust Prompt Looping
@Henry Thanks for the direction. Sadly, it hasn't wor)kded for me. I did as you directed - ...modifying the software source line and change 'saucy' to 'precise'... and so was able to get the package installed. Unfortunately it appears not to have made a difference for me. :-( I have libimobiledevice-utils 1.1.5-0ubuntu2 libimobiledevice4 1.1.5-0ubuntu2 as Pablo notes in his post #155 I have also done the mkdir and chgmod steps indicated above in post #148 I've done some more experimenting (after I've applied the package as described above). Here's what I've found. When I plug the phone in I get the Trust this computer message on the phone right away and the dialog on my computer indicating The device Michael's iPhone is locked If I click cancel I get a dialog which says Unable to mount Michael's iPone. If, instead, I click the trust button on the phone and quickly click the try again button on the computer I get a dialog box which says Unhandled Lockdown error (-12). I have also seen Unhandled Lockdown Error (-256). I don't know if this information provides any clues or not. I hope so. One more bit of information, perhaps helpful, perhaps not - I've tried this both with, and without a (simple) passcode on my phone. Thanks in advance for any assistance. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to libimobiledevice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1207812 Title: iOS 7, Trust Prompt Looping To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libimobiledevice/+bug/1207812/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1290113] [NEW] media player (Nokia N900) not detected
Public bug reported: To reproduce: - Launch Rhythmbox - Plug in a Nokia N900 and select mass storage mode. Expected: - Rhythmbox detects the N900 as a media player (USB mass storage), lists it under Devices, and allows the user to manage the music on it. Actual: - Rhythmbox does not respond at all to the presense of the N900. This bug is a regression: it used to work in previous Ubuntu versions, and it also works in the rhythmbox shipped in Debian 7 (wheezy). Some interesting-looking output from 'rhythmbox --debug': device /dev/sdb has no ID_MEDIA_PLAYER tag in udev /media/gnoutchd/Nokia N900 is already a mount point override file /media/gnoutchd/Nokia N900/.is_audio_player not found on mount /media/gnoutchd/Nokia N900 The attached 'n900-udev.txt' contains an extract of the output of 'udevadm info --export-db'. Note that ID_MEDIA_PLAYER is set on '/devices/pci:00/:00:1a.7/usb1/1-3', but it is not set on the entry that corresponds to the actual /dev/sdb device ('/devices/pci:00/:00:1a.7/usb1/1-3/1-3:1.0/host19/target19:0:0/19:0:0:0/block/sdb'). Problem persisted on installed Ubuntu and Windows 7 as well as Ubuntu and Fedora live systems (from USB) As suggested in this thread: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19450900.aspx?pi239031352=1 I removed the BIOS battery for a few minutes. [Bug 965953] Re: Indicator menus are too short and scroll when opened from screen bottom
I have been inserting debugging in formation and here is a trace that I am getting when I click on the Skype entry in the indicator applet. For some reason, whenever the items in a menu change, then all items of the menu are removed and then inserted again. For Skype this seems to happen every single time I open the menu. When I open other menu items such as bluetooth or Ubuntu One, then the entries are not removed and inserted. But the menu simply opens. However I can reproduce the same phenomen with network-manager. When I open the menu and then pull the network cable I can see how all items get removed and then re-inserted. Indicator-Applet-Message: button_press_event cb: entry_secondary_activated Indicator-Applet-Message: size_allocate: New height: 356 Indicator-Applet-Message: entry-activated cb: entry_activated Indicator-Applet-Message: size_allocate: New height: 356 Indicator-Applet-Message: menu_entry_remove: menu_shell: 0xd4d0c0; child: 0xfb22d0 [ ... 19 repeating entries truncated ... ] Indicator-Applet-Message: size_allocate: New height: 0 Indicator-Applet-Message: menu_entry_insert: menu_shell: 0xd4d0c0; child: 0xfc82d0 [ ... 15 repeating entries truncated ... ] (indicator-applet:6978): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_accel_path: assertion 'GTK_IS_ACCEL_GROUP (accel_group)' failed (indicator-applet:6978): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_add_accelerator: assertion 'GTK_IS_ACCEL_GROUP (accel_group)' failed Indicator-Applet-Message: menu_entry_insert: menu_shell: 0xd4d0c0; child: 0xfb25f0 Indicator-Applet-Message: menu_entry_insert: menu_shell: 0xd4d0c0; child: 0xfb2460 Indicator-Applet-Message: menu_entry_insert: menu_shell: 0xd4d0c0; child: 0xf9e8f0 Indicator-Applet-Message: menu_entry_insert: menu_shell: 0xd4d0c0; child: 0xfb22d0 (indicator-applet:6978): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_accel_path: assertion 'GTK_IS_ACCEL_GROUP (accel_group)' failed (indicator-applet:6978): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_add_accelerator: assertion 'GTK_IS_ACCEL_GROUP (accel_group)' failed Indicator-Applet-Message: menu_entry_insert: menu_shell: 0xd4d0c0; child: 0xffc790 Indicator-Applet-Message: size_allocate: New height: 378 Indicator-Applet-Message: size_allocate: New height: 378 From the trace I can see there are 20 items removed from the Skype menu, but 21 added. This explains the 22px size difference between the first and last size_allocate call. I have not measured this, but it seems the menu is painted with a height of 356px while at the end it has 378px thus requiring scrolling. Note that the menu is a member of 'IndicatorObjectEntry' (from libindicator) and indicator-applet has no control over adding or removing entries. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/965953 Title: Indicator menus are too short and scroll when opened from screen bottom To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk/+bug/965953/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Re: [Bug 1207812] Re: iOS 7, Trust Prompt Looping
@Michael, When i plug my Ipad i get the Trust this computer message and i do not anything. The message continue on screen and i can normally access my files. [Bug 1224217] Re: Switch Flashback sessions to XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=Unity
Dimtry, while g-s-d and g-c-c are the main components affected by XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP, it is also used in other places such as client side decorations on nautilus/epiphany, goa vs uoa in empathy/gnome-contacts, and probably other things also . This is in particular a bigger issue for components started from upstart user sessions, since they don't even have access to DESKTOP_SESSION (my proposed displayconfig package falls into this group). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1224217 Title: Switch Flashback sessions to XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=Unity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/1224217/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
