[Bug 1312349] Re: Microsoft bluetooth mobile keyboard 6000 cannot be used
Hello Anthony, or anyone else affected, Accepted gnome-bluetooth into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome- bluetooth/3.8.2.1-0ubuntu4.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance! ** Changed in: gnome-bluetooth (Ubuntu Trusty) Status: Triaged => Fix Committed ** Tags added: verification-needed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-bluetooth in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1312349 Title: Microsoft bluetooth mobile keyboard 6000 cannot be used To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hwe-next/+bug/1312349/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

gnome-power-manager is responsible for determining when the system should resume from suspend. [Bug 1283003] Re: [Bluetooth + 14.04] Bluetooth headsets are not working after last couple of updates
Updating my feedback. I tried the above suggestions and indeed module-bluetooth-discover was not loaded by default, had to manually load it, but it makes no difference. The bottom line is my headset works ok with blueman, but if i remove blueman and try built in standard bluez with standard gnome interface- pairing-nonesense, it doesnt work. Perhaps the issue is with the gnome discoverer, because i cant pair, as in it wont recognize the device with it. And its prob written in pythn right? its worth looking into ;). [Bug 1297051] Re: gnome-terminal doesn't recognise C1 controls
Could you provide concrete escape sequences (like an echo command, or a short text file to cat)? I can't figure out how to test this. CSI is traditionally ESC + [. This is used e.g. to change the foreground color: echo -e '\x1B[31mred\x1B[0m' The CSI you're referring to seems to be an alternate encoding of the same functionality, starting with 0x9B (whose UTF-8 encoding is 0xC2 0x9B) instead of ESC [. That is: echo -e '\xC2\x9B31mred\xC2\x9B0m' but this doesn't work for me, not even in Putty or xterm. What am I doing wrong? Note: gnome-terminal tries to emulate xterm. If you're asking for something that is supported by xterm, you have reasonable chances. If the feature is specific to putty, it's unlikely that your request will get implemented. ** Package changed: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) => vte3 (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1297051 Title: gnome-terminal doesn't recognise C1 controls To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vte3/+bug/1297051/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1301291] Re: incoherent keyboard binding
My 2 cents: Shift+PageUp, Shift+PageDown have historically been the shortcuts for scrolling, hence application don't expect these keypresses to get delivered. Shift+Up, Shift+Down, however, generate escape sequences that are useful for applications (e.g. select text in editor), it would be bad if these key combos were handled by the terminal itself. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1301291 Title: incoherent keyboard binding To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1301291/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 334082] Re: Most mp3 files listed with "Unknown" length
Ubuntu 14.04 32bit also is affected by the bug. I use Rhythmbox 3.0.2 and about 1/3 of my music library is shown as length "unknown". When I look into the rhytmdb.xml the titles with unknown length don't have a -tag. I removed the rhythmdb.xml and started rhythmbox from scratch with a music library with 11 mp3-titles. Initially 3 of them showed an unknown length. Then I manually removed all three -entries which had no -tag from the database. Afterwards I restarted rhythmbox, the three titles where readded by rhythmbox and suddenly had the correct length. Unfortunately, this whole rebuilding is a PITA and takes a long time, especially for libreoffice. I'm not sure if everything is needed, but anyway I have a bad feeling with this. Now there are still lots of packages on my system which were built against the unpatched glib, so I really think this needs to be fixed in Ubuntu 12.04 with *ALL* packages which depend on glib being rebuilt against a patched version. [Bug 1246272] Re: Keyboard layout changing randomly
As a programmer, this is a very frustrating issue for me as well. Punctuation, brackets and other such characters are located in very different positions on sv_SE compared to en_US. My keyboard layout always changes to en_US when GNOME Shell is restarted. Never on the initial startup though. The following command solves the issue temporarily for me: gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.input-sources current 0 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1246272 Title: Keyboard layout changing randomly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1246272/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1246272] Re: Keyboard layout changing randomly
This also happens when there is only one keyboard layout installed. It still randomly switches to en_us. This shouldn't be classified as low importance since it is a major problem, especially in corporate environments. I have this happening on dozens of machines and have lots of annoyed users who have to use the workaround of switching layouts forth and back on a daily basis. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1246272 Title: Keyboard layout changing randomly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1246272/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1237355] Re: Logitech Ultrathin Touch Mouse needs to be repaired
Hi everyone! I also experience occasional unwanted keypresses. Usually, I stop it by pressing the ESC key on the keyboard. I suspect any key pressed on the keyboard would stop the process. [Bug 1035701] Re: grilo plugins should be enabled in Totem
Thanks Doug for your extensive plugin review. Maybe we should continue this in a new grilo-plugins bug (I noticed we can report bugs at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grilo-plugins , is that a bad idea?). One of them might be an actual totem bug though: jamendo works in rhythmbox (at least on 14.04). Though I noticed there is at least 1 empty folder called "Westing*House", not sure if that is a bug (related to the non-alphanumeric character?) or if it's simply served empty by jamendo. The other folders I tested work and I can listen to the contained media. I agree that screen-scraping youtube is probably a bad idea, if that's how the youtube plugin works. I'm not opposed to disabling most of the apparently(?) under-maintained plugins after testing them in the special grilo browse test tool. Most of the content can easily be retrieved using a web browser. While it'd be nice to search and watch youtube through totem, it's almost impossible to listen to/watch DLNA shared media without a proper client. VLC has a strange "fetch all media from the media share before doing anything" implementation leading to a few minutes wait time before I can listen to my music, XBMC is not what I'm looking for, and the other clients I know need grilo. While this bug and the rhythmbox bug have few "affects me too" clicks, that's probably because the average user has no idea what grilo is, they just want DLNA and from a quick google search, there's almost no DLNA support in Ubuntu, so… :-) [Sorry for evangelizing all the time BTW. I'm a big fan of UPnP, but I realize this might be annoying so I'll stop now.] -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1035701 Title: grilo plugins should be enabled in Totem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1035701/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1035701] Re: grilo plugins should be enabled in Totem
The point is that the misbehaving could be in either the grilo plugins, or in totem itself. So if the problem is in Totem, and you remove plugins from the system, then other applications that work fine with such plugins won't have the opportunity to use them. On the other hand, such bugs could be already fixed in recent versions. Are those problems specific to Ubuntu? Any idea if they are present also in Debian? Regarding the last paragraph, Grilo and plparser use mainly two libraries for the work: GData, that provides access to the Youtube API, and libquvi, that helps to get the real URL for further displaying. The changes that YouTube does are mainly about the later. So it totally depends on the libquvi version you have in the system. In general libquvi is pretty updated, so if you keep in sync with the latest releases very likely everthing will work fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1035701 Title: grilo plugins should be enabled in Totem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1035701/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
