[Bug 1322181] Re: file-roller isn't properly opening some rar files

2014-06-25 Thread Monsta
Ah dammit! Linux Mint 17 has file-roller 3.6.3 pinned, and due to the
higher priority of the Mint repo you don't get the upstream version
which is newer (3.10.2.1). The older file-roller 3.6.3 has no proper
support for unrar 5.0, and this is the cause of this bug. Install file-
roller 3.10.2.1 to fix the problem:

apt install file-roller/trusty

[Bug 1330037] Re: upower 0.99 transition

2014-06-25 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package gnome-packagekit - 3.12.2-1ubuntu1

---
gnome-packagekit (3.12.2-1ubuntu1) utopic; urgency=medium

  * Merge with Debian unstable. Remaining Ubuntu changes:
- Drop build dependency on obsolete gtk-doc-tools and libapt-pkg-dev
- Raise version of the libglib2.0-dev build dependency as per upstream
  configure.ac.
- Alternatively depend on aptdaemon's PackageKit compatibility layer.
- Drop transitional update-notifier package, we want to keep our's.
  * Drop unnecessary libupower-glib-dev build dependency.
  * This version does not use upower any more. (LP: #1330037)

gnome-packagekit (3.12.2-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release: 3.12.2
  * Bump standards version to 3.9.5
  * Drop tools package: No longer provided by upstream

[Bug 1330037] Re: upower 0.99 transition

2014-06-25 Thread Tim
** Description changed:

  cairo-dock-plug-ins: needs rebuilding
- gnome-applets - patch at bgo:#276997

gnome-shell - ready, just need to drop upower revert.
  gnome-control-center: WIP
gnome-packagekit: Upower dropped from newest upstream release. Merge from
debian
gnome-power-manager: Fixed in newest upstream release. Merge from debian
experimental
gnome-session: Done in ppa, needs patches from git or new upstream release
gnome-settings-daemon: 3.12 is ready out of the box, however that also
requires gnome-desktop transition. 3.8 and also u-s-d: I have a package that is
mostly working, however had to cherry-pick quite a few patches and may just be
better to backport 3.12 power plugin. (considering g-s-d patches will be
temporary, but u-s-d not so)

Maybe it has to do with the gs version?

I've just tried it with the ghostscript 9.05 and the documents are rotated in
opposite direction compared to the libspectre without the patch but it renders
the documents correctly otherwise.
I'll prepare a patch which will change the direction of rotation.

[Bug 253167] Re: Rhythmbox sort by "Album Artist" for guest/compilations

2014-06-25 Thread fossfreedom
there is little point in bumping and asking for a fix on this perceived
bug here on Launchpad.

This is an upstream issue.

The only way to resolve this is to pursue this on bugzilla where
rhythmbox main bug-tracker is. In reality, someone needs to work to
produce a code-patch.

[Bug 1314904] Re: Remote publishing does not work in Unity/GNOME/XFCE on trusty/utopic

2014-06-25 Thread Chris J Arges
Hello Jens, or anyone else affected,

Accepted shotwell into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and
be available at
http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/0.18.0-0ubuntu4.1 in a few
hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

[Bug 1299604] Re: evolution keeps asking for password

2014-06-25 Thread aleandro
Hi removing the account served til reboot. Then it is clear the situation is
the same as before. I tried to set "Check new email every 2 minutes". I had 5
min. Yet I get the error only at boot.
I tried furthermore to disable the keyring deamon but it seems that without it
evolution cannot get mails.

[Bug 1332721] Re: Add patch to allow toolbar dragging

2014-06-25 Thread Sebastien Bacher
That's not really a new feature, it's an improvement and they have been
adding changes to that serie, see

[Bug 1286910] Re: Lock screen uses last active window's language instead of default keyboard language

2014-06-25 Thread Stanislav
I can confirm this too.

I don't have the option "Allow different sources for each window" enable, but
the bug still works. My setup is:
 - two keyboard layouts: English and Russian
 - Alt+LShift to change between layouts.
 - Use the same input source for all windows enabled.

I switch the layout to Russian, then lock the screen via Ctrl+Alt+L.
Result: the lock screen keyboard layout is set to Russian instead of the
default English layout.

An additional commend: the lock screen inherits the keyboard layout from
the desktop, but the converse is not true: the layout of the desktop is
the same as it was before the screen was locked, independently of
whether it has been changed in the lock screen.

[Bug 1332721] Re: Add patch to allow toolbar dragging

2014-06-25 Thread Adam Smith
@Sebastian - I haven't contacted upstream since I thought they weren't
accepting new features for gtk+2? If they wanted it adding they could
of done in in 2010 when the patch was written (
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=611313 ).

[Bug 1283003] Re: [Bluetooth + 14.04] Bluetooth headsets are not working after last couple of updates

2014-06-25 Thread cschramm
Hi all,

blueman maintainer here. I understand this is not 100 % a blueman
problem, but blueman is definitely having its part.

As you found out, there is a blueman applet plugin that unloads
pulseaudio's bluetooth-discover module and handles devices manually. The
original author let me know that this is due to pulseaudio (the
discovery module especially) not working well back then. For more
details see https://github.com/blueman-project/blueman/issues/64

I've prepared a blueman version without that pulseaudio applet plugin,
but still including the manager plugin. That one is responsible for
selecting the A2DP profile. Although there are other ways to do this
(e.g. PulseAudio Volume Control as mentioned above), it seems like this
is a useful feature to some users.

You can test the changes using the following PPA:

https://launchpad.net/~cschramm/+archive/blueman

The code can be found in the nopahandling branch:

https://github.com/blueman-project/blueman/tree/nopahandling

Cheers
