[Bug 1416607] [NEW] nautilus won't rename any file - ignores all keyboard input
Public bug reported: Possible regression of Bug #1322925 I have been using nautilus with no problems on this PC (ubuntu 14.10 amd64) since October 2014. I just succesfully renabmed one file with nautilus and went to rename another. The rename dialog box came up with the file name and everything I type from the keyboard is ignored in the dialog box (cut and paste shortcuts and straight text are ignored). The same thing applies to trying to change the file name via the properties dialog. Every file and folder I have tried to rename gives me the same problem (I am able to rename the same files from the command line with mv). The following things have NOT fixed the problem: * Start a new instance of nautilus * Log out and back * Reboot the system * Re-install nautilus So until there is a fix this appears to be permanently broken for me. Everything else in nautilus appears to be OK (as far as I can tell so far). [Bug 1416607] Re: nautilus won't rename any file - ignores all keyboard input
** Description changed: Possible regression of Bug #1322925 I have been using nautilus with no problems on this PC (ubuntu 14.10 amd64) since October 2014. + + In the rename dialog, if I rox.ight-click I get a menu with cut, copy, + and paste. They actually work on the filename text in the rename dialog + b Every file and folder I have tried to rename gives me the same problem (I am able to rename the same files from the command line with mv). The following things have NOT fixed the problem: * Start a new instance of nautilus * Log out and back * Reboot the system * Re-install nautilus So until there is a fix this appears to be permanently broken for me. [Bug 1313430] Re: Crashes on Ubuntu 14.04 when trying to connect to iPod
Hi I have a second generation Ipod Touch (4.2.1 iOS) and I had the same crashes. So this is how I make things work. Once the ipod is detected by the computer I double click on the Ipod icon and Nautilus opens up with the files on the device. I then go to Itunes_Control/iTunes/. I rename the file Playcounts.plist as Playcounts.plist.txt. Then start Banshee (I have stopped using Rhythmbox I guess you could try it). The sync works fine. I've done a couple of straces of nautilus while attempting to delete some files.
