[Bug 1453661] [NEW] Account for HAL differences in Ephimeris/Almanac/UsedInFix mask

2015-05-11 Thread Thomas Voß
Public bug reported:

While vanilla android defines the ephimeris/almanac/used_in_fix mask as
a 32-bit mask (see [1]), SOC-specific source trees might carry non-
scalar mask members, e.g., extending the masks to uint32_t[8]. With
that, the low-level adaptation layers should account for the difference
and expose a unified interface to user space.

Press the shuffle or repeat buttons.

[Bug 1308800] Re: Unity doesn't respawn all the times on crashes

2015-05-11 Thread Treviño
Mhm... Well, the fix was supposed to land in trusty as soon as the fixes for
the gnome-keyring bug #1271591 (and related regressions) were backported.
Now this has happened, and we might go ahead, however, I've just noticed that
the gnome-session fix needed for this, was overwritten by a merge
(http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-desktop/gnome-session/ubuntu/revision/320)
and so we need to redo this again on the unstable branch and then again
backport this to trusty :(.

Also, the bug #1433013 is somewhat connected to this.

[Bug 1453912] [NEW] systemd does not allow to boot with /home on dm-crypt

2015-05-11 Thread Gunter Ohrner
Public bug reported:

Since upgrading from version 14.10 to Kubuntu 15.04, my system does not
boot normally any more.

Maybe it's only a stupid oversight on my part, but not being a systemd
pro, I'm currently at a loss of how to debug this any further.

Hints and pointers to appropriate documentation are welcome!

Kubuntu 15.04 quickly boots to a specific point where it seems to try to
enable a dm-crypt partition which also carries /home, beside other data,
and simply stalls.

I'm not asked to enter my crytpdisk password and I also cannot enter it
blindly without being asked.

You can see the point where it stalls in the attached screenshot
(photo of my screen).

I can then press Ctrl+Alt+Del to cleanly restart the system but I could
not find a way to get beyond this point with systemd.

Using the alternative boot option with upstart works flawlessly.
(Although booting with this boot option is really slow and it takes a
while to reach the graphical login screen - it basically looks as if the
system is waiting for some name resolving timeouts during boot, but
that's a different issue, if've not debugged it further and maybe it's
just gone once systemd works to boot my machine.)

Further info about my setup:

$ cat /etc/crypttab

crypt /dev/mapper/main-cryptstore none luks,noearly,discard

$ mount | egrep crypt
/dev/mapper/crypt on /mnt/crypt type ext4 (rw,relatime,data=ordered)
/dev/mapper/crypt on /home type ext4 (rw,relatime,data=ordered)
/dev/mapper/crypt on /var/lib/mysql type ext4 (rw,relatime,data=ordered)

Here the first entry is the actual mount point while the other mount
points are bind mounts:

$ cat /etc/fstab | egrep crypt
/dev/mapper/crypt /mnt/crypt ext4defaults0 2

/mnt/crypt/home /home nonebind0 0

/mnt/crypt/var_lib_mysql/var/lib/mysql nonebind0 0

[Bug 966198] Re: No way to unset attributes set with gvfs-set-attribute

2015-05-11 Thread Alfredo Hernández
You can, indeed, unset attributes.
gvfs-set-attribute myfolder -t unset metadata::custom-icon would delete the
metadata::custom-icon attribute from myfolder.

[Bug 1453991] [NEW] gnome-terminal ignores the command line options --name and --class

2015-05-11 Thread Diego Luna
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu version:

Description:Ubuntu 15.04
Release:15.04

Package version:

gnome-terminal:
  Installed: 3.14.2-0ubuntu3
  Candidate: 3.14.2-0ubuntu3
  Version table:
 *** 3.14.2-0ubuntu3 0
500 http://mirrors.coopvgg.com.ar/ubuntu/ vivid/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Description:

gnome-terminal ignores the command line options --name and --class.
These options are listed with gnome-terminal --help as general gtk+
options. They should set the WM_CLASS property of the terminal window,
so window managers can manage properties of individual windows separately.

The WM_CLASS property can be displayed with the xprop command.

Example:

# gnome-terminal
# xprop WM_CLASS
(point the cursor on the terminal window)
WM_CLASS(STRING) = gnome-terminal-server, Gnome-terminal

# gnome-terminal --disable-factory --name foo --class bar
# xprop WM_CLASS
WM_CLASS(STRING) = gnome-terminal-server, Gnome-terminal

Here is how it should be:

# gnome-terminal
# xprop WM_CLASS
WM_CLASS(STRING) = gnome-terminal-server, Gnome-terminal

#gnome-terminal --disable-factory --class foo --name bar
# xprop WM_CLASS
WM_CLASS(STRING) = bar, foo

** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 360970] Re: Multi-monitor - When using two displays with different vertical resolution, icons get lost on the shorter display

2015-05-11 Thread Fabio Margarido
I have a similar problem. My display arrangement is as shown in the
attached image. Since the display on the top is wider, whenever I add
enough desktop icons to overflow the top display, the icons are hidden
in the second display, since the alignment of the icon column is the top
display falls out of the visible area of the bottom display.

[Bug 1449959] Re: Running ./unity --replace ... terminates the session and starts a new one on vivid

2015-05-11 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package gnome-session - 3.14.0-2ubuntu5

---
gnome-session (3.14.0-2ubuntu5) vivid; urgency=medium

  * In 3.14.0-2ubuntu1, RequiredComponents of ubuntu (unity)'s session file
incorrectly gained compiz. This caused compiz to be started by
gnome-session and not to be managed by upstart in user sessions meaning,
for example, that it won't be restarted correctly in the event of a crash.
