[Bug 1454253] [NEW] external usb breaks suspend

2015-05-29 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

After booting xubuntu 15.04 it's possible to suspend it the normal way
BUT - only until you've plugged external usb hard drive. After that
(even if it was unmounted and removed) it becomes impossible: the system
goes to suspend briefly (for bout 1 second) but immediately wakes up for
no apparent reason.

I suspect there's some weird bug in xfce power management - is there a
way to disable it alltogether and rely on systemd directly instead?

[Bug 1460028] [NEW] Ubuntu suspend instead of shutdown when battery is low

2015-05-29 Thread Michał Fułat
Public bug reported:

Hi!

This bug appears for me in last stable version of Ubuntu (15.04).

In system settings, I set power manager to shutdown my laptop when
battery is critically low.

But it doesn't work.

When battery reach 0%, Ubuntu shows a notify like your computer will
shutdown now but it doesn't. It always went to suspend mode (blinkin'
power led in my laptop).

Moreover, in system power settings I cannot set the action to suspend,
cause I've got only two options: shutdown (which is set by me) and
hibernate (which cannot be set cause it's inactive, probably cause my
swap partition are too small).

My laptop: ASUS K50IN.

Thanks for help.

[Bug 1414707] Re: Login fails, returns to login and flickering prevents password typing

2015-05-29 Thread Joel
This issue still persists in Ubuntu Gnome 14.04.2

I could consistently reproduce by installing fresh and then installing
steam (and its dependencies). I was not able to restart gdm and login as
it just froze in tty7 (the other terminals worked). When doing a hard
reset of my computer it would then hang at the grey screen with the
gnome logo and the three loading dots .

Installing Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 to hopefully resolve this issue

[Bug 1460047] [NEW] evolution does not send emails with attachement files

2015-05-29 Thread Lagasquie
Public bug reported:

Hello

since some days (tuesday, at least), each mail sent with evolution and
containing an attachment file in PDF format is not really sent. It is
saved into my SENT box but it is not really sent (no recipient receives
the message).

I do some tests with different file formats and the problem seems to
appear only with PDF files (new or old files). The size of the files
seems to play no role in the problem.

My config:
- ubuntu 15.04 64 bits
- evolution 3.12.11
- gnome

[Bug 1460062] [NEW] Scrollback with Shift-PageUp Shift-PageDown does not refresh screen

2015-05-29 Thread David Kastrup
Public bug reported:

I am often using Scrollback in GNOME-Terminal. The current version
forgets to refresh the screen timely afterwards. For one thing, it
means that one is wildly pressing Shift-PageUp Shift-PageDown too often
and it is hard to find things.

For another, when trying to highlight material with the mouse, the
refresh happens after the highlighting completes so the highlighted
material is on a different page than the material you _imagined_ to be
highlighting.

Very annoying. Basically, you have to remember to do an extra click or
keypress or whatever in order to trigger the screen refresh before you
can do anything serious.

[Bug 1284308] Re: Can't copy files from a bluetooth device: Another operation in progress

2015-05-29 Thread wodny
I would like to propose a patch (attached). It's probably too primitive and
requires a rewrite to become event-driven instead of a polling mechanism. But
for me it works and I've found another polling part in the code that was
already there so maybe the quality loss isn't that big after all ;)
I kindly ask for a review/opinions and feedback.

2015-05-29 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.
