[Bug 1272096] Re: Nautilus adds Untitled aumatically to new file templates
I am using Ubuntu 14.04 localized in Romanian. In this situation creating new document adds fără nume (means Untitled) at the end of the file name, after the extension. So if a have a template named Text File.txt then creating a new Text File document results in Text File.txt fără nume with Text File selected. This is really bad because I need to edit the name and then to delete end fără nume ending, and if I am not careful enough there might be a space character left after the extension which breaks programs like LibreOffice. This should really be fixed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1272096 Title: Nautilus adds Untitled aumatically to new file templates To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1272096/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1440275] Re: Ubuntu GNOME only allows regional format setting for US, UK, Canada, Australia, and NZ
Ok, I'm proposing changes to three packages which I think will both fix this bug and improve the behavior of the language and formats capplets in gnome-control-center. The change in accountsservice alters the output from /usr/share/language-tools/language-options when $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP is GNOME: The items in the list of language options will consistently include country code. I have uploaded updated packages to a PPA, so please feel free to install and provide feedback: https://launchpad.net/~gunnarhj/+archive/ubuntu/gcc-region-test Attached please find a patch for the gnome-control-center change, and for the gnome-desktop3 change there is a merge proposal. [Bug 1468103] Re: rc.local runs too early.
Generally speaking people expect rc.local to be run as the last thing in boot. This can't be taken literally, as services can and do come and go (stop and start) all the time, and as any service can declare dependencies to run after your thing this can't be enforced either. For example, could-final.service has an After=rc-local.service which I assume is deliberate. So we can't do a thing like run rc-local.service after multi-user.target as that would be an unresolvable ordering with cloud-final.service. Thus I suggest to add an After=rc-local.service to cloud-init.service. This is explicit and unambiguous. ** Summary changed: - rc.local runs too early. + rc.local runs earlier than cloud-init.service ** Package changed: systemd (Ubuntu) = cloud-init (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1468103 Title: rc.local runs earlier than cloud-init.service To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-init/+bug/1468103/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1464654] Re: can't typeahead in the fileselector anymore with gtk 3.16
This bug was fixed in the package gtk+3.0 - 3.16.4-2ubuntu1 --- gtk+3.0 (3.16.4-2ubuntu1) wily; urgency=low * Merge with Debian. Remaining changes: + Enable Mir backend. + Drop 022_disable-viqr-im-for-vi-locale.patch + Drop 061_multiarch_module_fallback.patch - unneeded in Ubuntu since we cleared all old gtk modules out. + Install the settings.ini file to set our themes. + Enable parallel builds + Ubuntu specific patches: - 073_treeview_almost_fixed.patch - 074_eventbox_scroll_mask.patch - bzg_gtkcellrenderer_grabbing_modifier.patch - ubuntu_gtk_custom_menu_items.patch - print-dialog-show-options-of-remote-dnssd-printers.patch - uimanager-guard-against-nested-node-updates.patch - x-canonical-accel.patch - message-dialog-restore-traditional-look-on-unity.patch - 0001-gtk-reftest-Force-icon-theme-to-Adwaita.patch + Add Breaks on gnome-shell 3.16 - this needs to be updated at the same time. + Add Breaks on old overlay-scrollbar versions which still provided the gtk3 module - we don't want to use this any more with GTK 3.16. + Update Mir backend from upstream git. gtk+3.0 (3.16.4-2) unstable; urgency=medium * Merge changes from 3.14.13-1. * debian/README.Debian: + Removed, that's for gtk+2.0. Closes: #622913. * debian/control.in: + Drop versioned dependency on pkg-config. The version is satisfied in oldstable and that helps other packages that provide pkg-config. Closes: #734481. * Upload to unstable. gtk+3.0 (3.16.4-1) experimental; urgency=medium [ Iain Lane ] * build with --fail-missing when doing an indep build * Install some utilities and missing icons, desktop files and manpages into gtk-3-examples (for want of a better package). * clean up reftest known_fail files in clean target which we create in pre-build [ Emilio Pozuelo Monfort ] * New upstream release. -- Iain Lane iain.l...@canonical.com Fri, 19 Jun 2015 19:08:27 +0100 ** Changed in: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Committed = Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+3.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1464654 Title: can't typeahead in the fileselector anymore with gtk 3.16 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gtk/+bug/1464654/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Can you fix and re-upload the Trusty/Utopic/Vivid versions? You changed the Uploaders field in debian/control without any explanation.
