[Bug 1469007] [NEW] [Meizu MX4] In first run, a GPS app is not asking about location

2015-06-26 Thread costales
Public bug reported:

I'm not sure if this is from the OTA4.

The first you run a GPS application, it is not asking permission for the
location (and it hasn't permission).
If you kill the app, the next times will not ask either.
You have to reboot the phone, then in the first new run, yes, it will ask for
location.

Thanks for your report. I can reproduce this issue on rc-

happen every time. I couldn't reproduce on same image on krillin.

When it happens (no prompt) the application takes a long time to start.

[Bug 1103549] Re: Quadrapassel misfunction

2015-06-26 Thread Raphael Treccani-Chinelli
Hello, This is my first time editing here, so I'm unfamiliar with the
ettiquette. i just discovered the bug during a tragic round of tetris. I
downloaded the source code , and read it through, and i believe this is
actually supposed to be a feature. if you go to the preferences menu,
and disable 'Choose difficult blocks' , it appears to have a much more
random block selection. I recognise that it isnt a fix, and i could
probably learn how to compile it and recompile with the option disabled
by default if anyone wants.

The g-s-d schemas are shared with unity-settings-daemon, this patch just brings
back keys that are needed by u-s-d, they will simply be unused
in g-s-d and won't cause any problem.

 sudo mv /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon-3.0/wacom.gnome-settings-plugin
 /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon-3.0/.wacom.gnome-settings-plugin.bak

gsd works as expected again. (yay!)
input device management moved into mutter for 3.16, perhaps mutter is supposed
to handle the device removal?

I don't why we didn't catch that earlier. Is it the case the patches are
already applied in the source I download with `apt-get source
gnome-settings-daemon` and I have to revert the manually? I thought it would
suffice to delete all patches in debian/patches directory.
yes they will be applied via quilt. you just need to do:
quilt pop -a
rm debian/patches
debuild -S

Also in the patch there is a reference to ( plugins/power/gsd-power-
 manager.c | 32 +), but the actual
 change is not there.
thats harmless its just patch headers don't get updated when doing a `quilt
refresh` to rebase patches

[Bug 1427877] Re: Media, brightness and volume keys don't work with GNOME 3.15.90

2015-06-26 Thread Tim
Hubert, Also I wonder if you are looking in the wrong place, might be better to
try and track down the GsdDeviceManager error first:
(gnome-settings-daemon:13665): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: cannot register
existing type 'GsdDeviceManager'

Both xrandr and wacom use this device manager, the first call to
gsd_device_manager_get() should create the object and subsequent calls
should return the existing object, however it appears to try and create
it a second time.

disabling the wacom plugin just avoids that second (attemted)
invocation.

[Bug 1440275] Re: Ubuntu GNOME only allows regional format setting for US, UK, Canada, Australia, and NZ

2015-06-26 Thread Gunnar Hjalmarsson
I made a minor adjustment to the gnome-control-center proposal; attached
please find the updated patch. With that I could drop the proposed
changes to accountsservice.

It would make sense to disable the access to the longer language list,

figured out how to do that, though.

[Bug 1244548] Re: Keyboard shortcut for changing keyboard layout does not work on lock and login screen

2015-06-26 Thread pepa65
PROPOSED FIX

The current popup shows:
Information: Username, Current keyboard layout (also a button)
   Buttons: Switch user, Unlock

When you click on Switch user, you end up at the correct behaviour: the
keyboard is switched back to the default layout, the same layout that
the user used to login, and it does offer the option to switch user (the
standard login screen).

Proposed fix: go straight to the login screen (it fixes the layout, and
it doesn't require extra clicking when a alternate keyboard layout
happened to be active, and in case it is desirable to switch the user,
it is immediately possible)

As a bonus, you're using a well tested and beautifully designed screen,
and you're skipping an unnecessary widget.

[Bug 1453655] Re: desktop icons disappear on Ubuntu 15.04 when clicking Open Dropbox folder

2015-06-26 Thread Timo Aaltonen
Hello Ilan, or anyone else affected,

Accepted nautilus into vivid-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/1:3.14.2-0ubuntu9.1 in a
few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in

[Bug 1340687] Re: Please replace current alternate screen scroll patch with the new one, making this scroll permanent

2015-06-26 Thread Monsta
Hi Martin,

This patch does not require changes in other applications. You can leave
all GTK+2 terminal apps as is - they will still work as they should even
with their corresponding alt.scroll patches enabled. This patch only
enables alt.scroll in the temrinal apps that haven't been patched yet,
that's all.

Actually, the only GTK+2 terminal app that is patched is xfce4-terminal.
Other apps like mate-terminal, roxterm-gtk2, lxterminal are not patched.

Is there something else needed for SRU here? Let me know, I'll make
corrections.

vte (1:0.28.2-5ubuntu2) wily; urgency=medium

  * debian/patches/93_add_alt_screen_scroll_toggle.patch:

New patch. Makes the alternate screen scroll work always, thus
removing the need to additionally patch vte-based terminal apps.
