[Bug 1480056] [NEW] eog create wrong window size and the image is not clear.
Public bug reported: Try open example.png from attachment in eog and you will see that image is not clear because of wrong window size. Image is scalling and that is why not clear. Also you can see screenshots 1.png and 2.png. On 1.png we see small black stripes on the sides of window because window is smaller than need to image. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it seems that a package failed to install due to a segmentation fault in the application being used for the package installation process. Unfortunately, this bug report isn't very useful in its current state and a crash report would be much more useful. Could you try recreating this issue by enabling apport to catch the crash report 'sudo service apport start force_start=1' and then trying to install the same package again? Hello Guy, or anyone else affected, Accepted gtk+2.0 into precise-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/2.24.10-0ubuntu6.2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision. [Bug 1238823] Re: Location lookup failing for Lafayette, Indiana, USA
I use my bq 4.5 in Budapest, Hungary, but when I am at home it usually says I am in Miskolc (Hungary, 180 km/110 miles from Budapest). Pretty surely it is working from ip based geolocation databases: I have had the same ip address months ago and a large part of geolocation webpages (but less than a half of them) says this ip address belongs to Miskolc. Of course it is not the mistake of Ubuntu Touch developers, but there should be an option saying: "this ip address does not belong to the said location, do not use this source/use another sources" -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to location-service in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1238823 Title: Location lookup failing for Lafayette, Indiana, USA To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/location-service/+bug/1238823/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1479732] [NEW] systemd causes mess in /var/tmp
Public bug reported: There's enormous amount of directories like systemd-private- fdd28b0bfe4c47808e41dbb7a0300bdc-colord.service-vrglD7 in /var/tmp It's clear why they are necessary but it's still looks irritating and is magnified (compared to /tmp for example) by the fact that /var/tmp is not cleaned up (and of course it shouldn't be) on every reboot. The solution is trivial and already employed by lots of services for /tmp - just prepend . to the folder name so it's hidden from user's file manager. Would be excellent if ubuntu could apply this to systemd as well: the lesser is chance for user confusion (those directories are unaccessible to the user anyway so there's little sense in showing them) - the better. ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1479732 Title: systemd causes mess in /var/tmp To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1479732/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
