I have now purged Seahorse. I then purged and re-installed Evolution. I also removed ~/.config/evolution Then attempted to set up Evolution. Here is a workaround (works on 15.04): - install vlc - on opening choose other and select /usr/bin/vlc - save it as default - enjoy direct playback when clicking on a link like http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=2157097 Ubuntu, please remove the association, add pls association to vlc and install that as a default. This is still an issue for me on 15.04. I have to alt-f1, log in and kill gnome-screensaver. Then I need to save everything and reboot because every few seconds the screen will turn black after doing this. I don't use ecryptfs, I don't have several copies of gnome-screensaver running when this happens, and it's not a hibernation issue with me because it happens from a simple screensaver lock timeout - my music remains playing in the background. Same problem seen here on Wily. Unable to open external editor without shotwell crashing. But I can even trigger a complete log-out ( x11 crash ?) ) with this operation, if I repeat a few times. Seems to be a compiz problem. Once the display is "infected," quitting from gimp and restarting it doesn't change anything. The main window resizes if I open a file, but the resized window remains completely transparent. Logging out and then back in "fixes" it.
