Just a workaround here - I am also affected by this bug, but the terminal command xset allows you to adjust the mouse speed using the command line. I suggest doing a man xset to learn more about the command, but "xset m 1.3 0" is the magic number for me. The format of the command is xset m . I tested this silo for this bug #1480877 and it does seem to solve the problem also. GPS seems to work nicely on Mako. I ran into this problem on Lubuntu 14.04. On that machine, the user created during the installation had no problem but every other regular users were affected. The workaround was to join the regular users to the sudo group to please polkit. [Bug 1500673] Re: gdm unusable after upgrading to 15.10
I now installed only ubuntu-gnome-default-settings on a second PC with the same problem and changed back to gdm. It worked there as well. Can somebody tell me why ubuntu PC (12.04 ) can't automatically receive files over Bluetooth and save them with no user interaction ?
