I'm seeing the same issue with totem under cinnamon (I'm on Ubuntu
15.04), the menubar is still visible in fullscreen mode, have not found
a way to hide it.

[Bug 1518988] [NEW] Switching from "Plain Text" to "HTML" mode in Evolution composer keeps fixed width font

2015-11-23 Thread Paul Smith
Public bug reported:

I'm using Evolution 3.16.5-1ubuntu3 in Ubuntu GNOME 15.10, latest
packages.

My email starts by default in Plain Text mode. However sometimes I want
to switch to "HTML" mode. When I do this, I get HTML-formatted email
HOWEVER no matter what I do my font is still always fixed-width and
never proportional. I can change the size, the slant, etc. but it's
always fixed-width.

After discussing this on the Evolution mailing lists
https://mail.gnome.org/archives/evolution-
list/2015-November/msg00112.html it appears this is a bug that was fixed
in 3.18. However, the fix looks simple to backport: please consider
pulling this into Ubuntu 15.10 version of Evolution to fix this
extremely annoying problem:

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=753702

[Bug 1519059] Re: Error on accessing root trash

2015-11-23 Thread UlfZibis
I now have found out, that the root trash is working as expected, if
nemo/nautilus is started with "gksudo dbus-launch".
So if not started with dbus-launch, the error message after clicking "Trash"
should be changed to a hint, that the application should be started with
"gksudo dbus-launch".

Additionally in Nemo, the action "Open as root" should be fixed
accordingly.

I hope the quotes are not literally in your /etc/modules :-)

This is saying that a module in your /etc/modules could not be loaded.
I. e. either the synaptics_i2c module does not exist, or you actually do
have these fancy quotes there, then you need to remove them.

[Bug 1518813] Re: sharing panel fails to properly launch required daemons

2015-11-23 Thread Tim
seb, g-s-d added a sharing plugin in 3.10 or so, that manages the
sharing daemons (gnome-user-share, vino and rygel) on a per-network
basis, rather than having gnome-session launch them. Though moving to
that would require new UI for u-c-c.

I'll dig a bit deeper over the next few days, and update more then.

[Bug 1480877] Re: Access points' "PropertiesChanged" dbus signals freeze UI on mobile devices

2015-11-23 Thread Tony Espy
@Lorn

Thanks for the updated patch.

The only significant difference besides the DeviceModem destructor fix
was the change you mentioned about default routes. Is there a touch-
specific bug that this fixes? On our system, the modem connection will
never be IPv6, whereas it is possible to get a IPv6 connection for WiFi.
Perhaps we keep this separate?

Re: [Bug 1480877] Re: Access points' "PropertiesChanged" dbus signals freeze UI on mobile devices

2015-11-23 Thread Thomas Voß
Quick update on silo 26: I'm rebuilding location-service to account
for a recent landing.
The one blocking issue is mediascanner2, which requires a rebuild,
too. It is however enabled for dual-landing
to both vivid and xenial, and we cannot easily do a vivid+o landing
with it right now. I'm working on the resolving that issue,
but it will likely take a day or two to complete.

[Bug 1480877] Re: Access points' "PropertiesChanged" dbus signals freeze UI on mobile devices

2015-11-23 Thread Michael Terry
I tested silo 26 + libqt5network5 from Tony's PPA and did my normal
routine of walking out of range of my home network.

It seems much better. dbus-daemon CPU usage is down (only ~30% for a
few seconds after initial switch to 3G and ~15% during scans after).

But more importantly, stuttering is much better. Only a couple tiny
stutters on initial switch. And none during scans. I'm +100 on trying
to land this.

(My test was on a relatively-recently-rebooted phone, so maybe not the
ideal test. I'll try again later after a while of uptime to double
confirm the results, but this looks good. If I don't post again, assume
it worked great.)

[Bug 1519059] [NEW] Error on accessing root trash

2015-11-23 Thread UlfZibis
Public bug reported:

- Run Nautilus/Nemo with gksudo.
- create a file/folder in /root.
- Right-Click and choose "Move to Trash"
--> the file disappears as expected.
- some days later ...
- Run Nautilus/Nemo with gksudo.
- Click on Trash
--> error message: Content of »trash:///« cannot be displayed.

The files can be found in /root/.local/share/Trash/ or in case of
external volume in .Trash-0/.

IMO, if user can successfully move files to trash, there should be a
reliable trash access to recover or finally delete files.
