[Bug 1572762] [NEW] File-roller shows home folder in each zip

2016-04-20 Thread davidcaste
Public bug reported:

In every .zip file, file-roller shows that the file contains a "home"
folder which weights 0 bytes.

$ file-roller --version

It seems a problem in the interaction between file-roller and 7zip.

- unzip6.0-20ubuntu1
- zip 3.0-11

[Bug 1543546] [NEW] Monitor DPI settings are ignored after upgrade to Xenial

2016-04-20 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I recently upgraded my Kubuntu x86_64 system with a HiDPI monitor (24"
4K) from Wily to Xenial. Before I did this, applications using all the
toolkits (GTK2, GTK3, Qt4, and Qt5) properly obeyed the DPI value
automatically detected from the monitor, causing them to automatically
scale to a usable size. However, after upgrading to Xenial, GTK3
applications no longer have this behavior. Instead, they appear at the
normal 96DPI size, causing them to be nearly unreadable due to the small
size of their widgets.

I am currently using GTK3 3.18.7-1ubuntu2, but the issue has been
occurring since I upgraded to Xenial months ago.

[Bug 1571854] Re: Recent samba updates broke mapi

2016-04-20 Thread Jose Sanchez-Seco
Solve for me. Remember I'm using evolution-mapi.

Found this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1327072

Applied workaround (rename ntlm_auth or apt-get remove winbind) and it
works!

It's not the definitive solution, but at least I can use Evolution like
yesterday morning...

that they're in-progress. Notable examples are after updating an
application(s), the updated application(s) still appear in the updates
list momentarily until the aptd operation is finished, and just after
updating the AppStream cache. It takes some time before the changes are
reflected in the user interface.

Same here.

Evolution (3.10.4) MAPI-Support just disappeared after last update of
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS-64-Bit.

It's gone... tried to reinstall via apt-get. No difference.

I used it for years to connect to an Exchange 2003 Server.

[Bug 1572331] [NEW] GtkPlug scaled to half the expected size on HiDPI screens

2016-04-20 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

See attached screen shot. Blue is a GtkPlug, black is a GtkSocket.
Source code below.

What I expect to happen is that the GtkPlug has the same size as the GtkSocket.
What actually happens is that GtkPlug only covers a quarter of the area of the
GtkSocket.

Impact: Onboard on HiDPI displays is near unusable at login and lock
screen, aka unity-greeter and gnome-screensaver. Original bug report
here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1562734.

Steps to reproduce:
- build plug and socket samples from below
- set display scaling factor to 2
System Settings -> Display -> Scale for menu and title bars = 2
- run ./socket $(head -1 <(./plug))
-> blue GtkPlug is too small, it should cover all the black

- resize the window
-> at smaller sizes the scaling suddenly corrects itself, at larger ones it's
wrong again
