You received this message not because the maximum mount count was reached, but because the 'Next check after' date was in the past. You have been subscribed to a public bug: I had the following message on Ubuntu 15.10 *** /dev/sda10 will be checked for errors at next reboot *** *** /dev/sda1 will be checked for errors at next reboot *** This was displayed even after rboot. I pgrade to 16.04 and still the same problem. I took a look at the /usr/lib/update-notifier/update-motd-fsck-at-reboot and for /dev/sda10, I had something like this : Mount count 28 Maximum mount count 30 Check interval 15552000 Next check afterTue Jan 12 23:11:26 2016 The message was not displayed anymore after 2 reboot, in order to reach Mount count to 30, and greater or equals to Maximum mount count. It seems that the file check was not until the Mount count >= Maximum mount count More over, on the platform, I have two partitions with following "name" : /dev/sda1 /dev/sda10 When the first one is verified by the script, the command "mount | grep "^$part" | cut -d ' ' -f 3" does not give te right result. mount | grep "^/dev/sda10" | cut -d ' ' -f 3 give result : / But mount | grep "^/dev/sda1" | cut -d ' ' -f 3 / /usr May be not a big deal, because, the mount point is only used to find value in the file /etc/fstab, in order to specialize the message, but many be there is an error anywhere else. [Bug 1574889] [NEW] gnome-software will not install a package with un-met dependencies
Public bug reported: gnome-software (Software Install) fails to resolve un-met dependencies (installing them) when installing a Debian package. In prior releases, Ubuntu Software Center (and Gdebi) would do this. In the 16.04, when you click the "Install" button, it re-displays (as with other installation cases), but when you again click the "Install" button, it appears to hang, with the system apparently doing nothing, and no progress indicator of any type visible. In 16.04, the Gdebi Package Installer still does successfully install the dependencies, and install the package. After installing the dependencies (using Gdebi) Software Install (gnome- software) would then successfully install the package, so it appears to be a problem with installing the dependencies. The release I am using here is Ubuntu-Gnome 16.04, but the problem was also observed on all other Ubuntu 'flavors' using gnome-software as the installer. The version of the package gnome-software is: 3.20.1+git20160420.1.ca63436.ubuntu-xenial-0ubuntu2 I expected it to install the dependencies, and then install the package (as Ubuntu Software Center used to do). What happened instead, is it appeared to hang, with the system doing nothing (I waited a few minutes, and didn't see the DSL modem flashing, and nothing further happened). I eventually gave up, and installed the package using gdebi. After doing that (and the dependencies were installed), gnome-software would successfully install the package it wouldn't install before. I have attached one of the Debian packages I was trying to install (which Gdebi successfully installed). [Bug 1574833] [NEW] setkey is not run automatically on system start
Public bug reported: The „setkey” service should run at system startup to add keys defined in /etc/ipsec-tools.conf. You can possibly work around this by selecting another input method (IM) with 'im-config' or by removing ~/.xinputrc (which selects the default for your locale) and then reboot (or restart X11—log out & back in is not always enough). The default IM for most languages is 'ibus' which you can configure with 'ibus-setup' if necessary (but only after the X restart!). [Bug 1568056] Re: Official Package-Names Not Shown in Gnome-Software
1) Previous software managers, in Ubuntu, indicated the package-name upon viewing the details of software, and therefore it has become my go- to-GUI for discovering package-names. 2) Even when I use a GUI to install software, I like to take note of the official package name so that I can add that package-name to my notes, and so that I can later install *all my software* (on a fresh install) with one "sudo apt-get install" command (without having to relocate each software again via a Software Manager: gnome-software). 3) When I have an issue with a program, I report bugs using this command: ubuntu-bug packageName I like having a GUI for discovering the package name: If I installed it using the GUI, that's where I want to go back to in order to see the package name I installed via that GUI. I don't want to memorize a command for discovering which package I initially used gnome-software to install; the GUI that I searched from (originally -- when I installed the software) is the same GUI I want to search to discover what I originally installed. 4) The official package name is pertinent information to advance users (who may know commands, but prefer GUIs). 5) Including the package name doesn't take up much room; it does not clutter the interface for users who don't care about package names, while also providing pertinent information to advance user. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1568056 Title: Official Package-Names Not Shown in Gnome-Software To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1568056/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1565384] Re: software update failes if suspend while download, does not go on
The Unity issue is bug 1553165. It doesn't seem immediately obvious that gnome-software should inhibit suspend - if you use other methods to install (e.g. from the command line) these wont stop a suspend from occurring. Downgrading priority due to this. ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1565384 Title: software update failes if suspend while download, does not go on To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1565384/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1574598] Re: Nautilus can't move files (at least images) in a stable way
@Sebastien Bacher Command line works fine. I had this issue "only" yesterday and today but can't actually reproduce it more. [Bug 1574666] [NEW] Updates tab slow to load due to downloading changelog information
Public bug reported: Changelog information is downloaded from changelogs.ubuntu.com. These must all be loaded before the updates tab is populated. This is slow because: - Changelogs are downloaded for non-GUI packages (bug 1554166) - Changelogs are downloaded sequentially. Downloading in parallel would speed this up significantly. ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Triaged ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574666 Title: Updates tab slow to load due to downloading changelog information To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1574666/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
