[Bug 1325833] Re: gnome-keyring has an inadequate man page and employs insecure defaults for GPG passphrase caching

2016-08-06 Thread Jeremy Bicha
I'm marking this bug as fixed, in accordance with the upstream bug
report:

"gnome-keyring no longer implements a gpg-agent. The gnupg agent and
pinentry have been better integrated with GNOME.

https://mail.gnome.org/archives/distributor-
list/2015-August/msg0.html "

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/733032

Further, gnome-keyring-daemon now has a better man page. See

[Bug 1421955] Re: gnome-keyring-daemon lacks a man page

2016-08-06 Thread Jeremy Bicha
** Description changed:

- gnome-keyring-daemon lacks a man page telling about the program and how
- to use it. It currently has only a place holder with virtually no
- information. Attached is a draft for discussion of a man page for the
- daemon.
+ Impact
+ ==
+ gnome-keyring-daemon lacks a man page telling about the program and how to
use it. It currently has only a place holder with virtually no information.
+
+ The gnome-keyring developer added a better manpage in 3.10 but this
+ wasn't noticed by the Debian packages until 3.12. Therefore, this is
+ just a packaging problem as the better manpage is already provided in
+ the package source. This bug therefore affects Ubuntu 14.04 LTS but not
+ 16.04 LTS.
+
+ Test Case
+ =
+ $ man gnome-keyring-daemon
+
+ Does the manpage provide program options?
+
+ Regression Potential

basically useless.

automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 1586835

[Bug 1610606] [NEW] Strange font colour change when cursored over in gnome-tweak-tool after GTK theme change

2016-08-06 Thread Nikita Yerenkov-Scott
Public bug reported:

I have found that on Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 with GNOME 3.20 if I go into the
gnome-tweak-tool and change the GTK theme, even if I then change it
back, the fonts go really strange when cursored over as shown in the
screencast which I have attached (when I switch it to Adwaita, though it
is less noticeable, there is still a slight darkening in the font).
Though seemingly a restart of the gnome-tweak-tool means that all is
well, so I don't think just the themes are causing the trouble, probably
something more with gnome-tweak-tool.

[Bug 1582449] Re: Update to 3.20

2016-08-06 Thread Jeremy Bicha
I attached my packaging update here. I assume we want the gspell MIR
(bug 1610588) approved first. Although gedit can build without gspell,
it would be a regression to lose spell checking support. (gspell was
originally part of gedit but has not been split off to a separate
library.)

Therefore I didn't click "propose for merging" because I didn't want
this cluttering the sponsors queue.
